I'm not much of a Trekker (the preferred term of major fans), but Star Trek was an awesome movie, and I'm more than excited for the sequel.

Excellent. I hope the Enterprise squares off with the dastardly REAR ADMIRAL SLIK, who was kicked out of Starfleet Academy for distributing Cardassian porn. Also, he should slap Uhura on the ass and say "Sometime, I'm gonna show you why they call me THE REAR ADMIRAL".

WOLVERINE: ORIGINS 2?
Isn't the point of an origin to be how a story starts? How can you have two starts to a story?

WOLVERINE: ORIGINS 2? Isn't the point of an origin to be how a story starts? How can you have two starts to a story? I think it's supposed to deal with his time in Japan, dealing with his amnesia. Back OT, I really hope Chris Pine breaks out.....the....Kirk Pause..... At least once or twic.....in this movie.

No Khan. Khan was a really drama heavy story, the Reboots are about action. Besides, Nero was as close to Khan as you could get without being Khan. I assume the next films will be about the Klingons, since they fit action to a T. The Next Gen stuff, I'm hoping is off limits, but that's what I said about Enterprise. Just no more Romulans. The films haven't been kind to them.

Meh. Only one I'm looking forward to really is Newt just because it's Pixar.

The audience is practically begging for Khan, but truth is the new Trek universe hasn't really established either the Klingons or the Romulans. There are a LOT of possibilities here, Khan just seems to be the easy one right now.

Star Trek 2 and Avengers should be neat. Newt will probably be good too being a Pixar film and all (even if I do think they have made some bad Rattatoui ones Finding Nemo), even if it is about two newts that don't like each other being forced to have sex.

2012 is shaping up quite nicely. I'm pumped for Star Trek and The Avengers, and the possibility of the Deadpool film.

I wonder if they could just skip over the OS saga and just do TNG. That might be interesting, but it might seem like a letdown to go from badass lover Kirk to diplomatic and proper Picard.

Not going to happen. The core actors from last year's Star Trek are signed on for multiple films. Besides, people who are just getting into Star Trek because of the 2009 movie would be alienated if they just up and changed all of it to TNG characters.

There are a LOT of possibilities here, Khan just seems to be the easy one right now. Well, I assume the Klingons and the Romulans are pretty much the same as before. I mean, this is a soft reboot, previous continuity is still completely intact. It's like that one episode where Worf keeps jumping between timelines, and they meet the creepy "Borg are everywhere" Riker. I mean, my major problem with using Khan, is that Khan doesn't do a lot of action. Space Seed was mostly Khan telling us how tired he was while trying to seduce the Ship's Historian, with a big takeover at the end, and Wrath was basically a Sub film. That's drama, not many explosions in that one. Re: TNG: Doubtful. TNG was done primarily because they couldn't recast the parts in '86. Given that no star trek producer has yet been able to resist a Borg appearence, I suppose they will show up at some point.
