Well, he was Sheamus O'Shaunessy (spell check?) in FCW. I think if Lawler managed to say that without screwing it up, you'd hear Cole say "oh my" every time. I'll agree, they're kinda making him a hodge podge heel with no real direction. As long as he keeps kicking Cena's head off, he'll get a reaction from the crowd, but I'd like to see another Jake Roberts type, that gives you the idea that you know what, you might win the fight, but what will you have to give up to do it?

They already have a Snake type in Orton, in that he's got the lethal finisher, so he could get his ass kicked the entire match, hit that, and all of your previous offense will do nothing to save you.

What I would have preferred last night would have been as follows:
1) Early in the match, Sheamus gets in a low blow, sets up the Crucifix Bomb, hits it, but Cena barely kicks out. 2) Later on, Cena gets on the STF. 3) Sheamus slowly but surely dragged Cena to the ropes to force the break. 4) Sheamus decides he has had enough and starts to leave. 5) Cena brings him back in but eats the kick like the end of the show, with the only difference being that he falls out of the ring instead. 6) Sheamus follows him out and starts beating on a barely conscious Cena long enough to get a double count out.
This would have done a number of things:
A) It would have built up Sheamus (you know, the guy with the top belt?) B) It would have preserved that stupid "I will not lose until I get it back" crap. C) It would have better advertised their next upcoming match as being a "Don't Miss" type of match.

I thought it was fine. As long as they have something lined up for him after he drops the title he should be ok.
The WWE can't really win though.....
Sheamus wins - HHH is vicariously dominating the main event. Sheamus loses - Another young talent squashed by SuperCena

Orton's not a Snake type. Snake never came at you directly. He'd always find the thing you cared most for and turned it on its head, usually with you watching helplessly. We saw some of that with Stephanie/HHH, but Orton wasn't going after HHH. He was going after the figureheads of the company, taking the "I'm crazy" approach. Snake used the "I'm a sicko, and I'll make you crazy trying to beat me, and enjoy every minute of it" approach. Mankind was more of a Snake type than Orton.
