Class move by Conan and I hope he goes on to greater things on FOX. I still think Leno is getting too much flack for this though. NBC executives are the ones who screwed the pooch, and put everyone in this predicament to start with. At the end of the day it was their call, and yet again rather then stepping up to the plate, and being decisive they decided to try once more to have their cake and eat it too. By tring to be the "good guys" and please everyone NBC has come off as being run by some of the biggest dick heads in TV.

This shows how much respect Conan has for The Tonight Show franchise. He left NBC for ruining their staple late night show knowing he doesn't have a concrete or definite second option.

Don't know if this point has been made yet: I don't think Conan in his 11:35 spot with the Tonight Show was hurt by direct competition with Letterman or by Leno preceding him at 10:00 every night. Really, what I think it comes down to, is that Conan scores heavily with the 18-28 crowd and a large segment of those viewers are fiercely loyal to Stephen Colbert who holds down the 11:30 slot over at Comedy Central. Putting Conan on at Fox at 11:00 - going head-to-head with Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert AND the Late Local News??? That just screams low ratings right there.
I am in agreement with Bill Simmons, who posted on his Twitter page that Conan should move to 12:00 and follow Stewart/Colbert on Comedy Central. A lot of people will stick around to watch Conan after those two, and it is the most viable option provided he doesn't work something out with NBC. I don't like either Fox or ABC as a landing spot for Conan...Simmons' idea makes the most sense to me.

And lo Conan did try to scale the Tower of the Elephant to find the Jewel of Rating Gains, but the foul sorceror Lenosion struck him down, and he did quest eastwards to the Kingdom of the Fox... Robert Plant is going to steal those lyrics from you and make a new song As long as he stops making duets with Alison Whateverhernameis, that's be great. Personally I feel the only big chinned talk show host worth watching is Space Ghost, make him an offer for the Tonight Show. I would SO watch that. Space Ghost: Zorak why didn't you play me off like you were suppose to? Zorak: Because I don't like you. Space Ghost: *heat rays Zorak* Why is Conan so awesome?

Someone needs to find a copy of TV's Craig Ferguson brilliantly summing it: "This whole mess is a direct result of atrocious management by a once-great American network."

From Nikki Finke: I don't think CoCo will have a hard time finding a job. And I imagine Fox is purposely downplaying their interest. As well as ABC.

I would give Leno some slack EXCEPT the guy back in 2004 promised to step aside, retire and let Conan take over. And notice Leno's recent monologues. How he "got fired last May."[/i] Oh and I'm on Team Coco.

The guy is so horrid I can't wrap my mind around what he's done to NBC.

Fire Zucker. Has there ever been a better example of a corporate figure "failing upwards" than him?

Good Job, Conan. NBC deserves that kick in the balls.

Not just that, but Scrubs, Spin City, and Clone High creator Bill Lawrence. That makes me feel warmer inside.
