The question is pretty straight forward, which Star Trek series is your favourite?
My vote goes to DS9. Engaging characters, long running story arcs, and, in my opinion, a more realistic less Utopian vision of the future.
Plus, bald Sisko was freakin' badass!!!

When I was a kid it was TNG, but in recent years I've really grown to love DS9. Not only did it have a very well developed main cast, but it also had a huge cast of great peripheral characters that gave you the sense that there was more going on in the galaxy than what was happening on the station.
The show also had two of my favorite episodes of any Trek series, "The Visitor" and "In the Pale Moonlight."

It got a little Klingon heavy at times but Deep Space 9 was a great show.

It used to be TNG, but now it's easily Deep Space Nine. Though I still love TNG and TOS. It's a shame that Enterprise got canceled just as it was starting to get good, too. Voyager's really the only series I didn't like overall.

TNG's the only one I've ever been able to get into, not counting the new movie.

Definitely Next Generation. It's the one I grew up with. But DS9 was a VERY close second. It was awesome.
Plus, Garak rules.

'In the Pale Moonlight' pretty much cemented his position as quite possibly one of the best Trek characters ever.

I forget, which ones were the two you guys are talking about? And DS9 all the way for me. It's surprisingly relevant.

"The Visitor" is a bit of a tear-jerker.

"The Visitor" is a bit of a tear-jerker. Probably the best thing Trek has ever done, which it pretty interesting given how little "Trekish" things are going on in it. Much like 'The Inner Light' is to TNG actually.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, DS9. Sisko punching out Q was a delight.

For me it's TNG. It's a show that I grew up with and I never got into DS9 or Voyager. I also love TOS as well.

TNG's only weakness was a sucky first season.

TNG's only weakness was a sucky first season. Eh, I didn't mind the first season. It had the first Lore episode, plus the Tasha Yar death episode had a pretty touching tribute piece in it. Second season had some good episodes, but it IMO was hurt a bit by the fact that Gates McFadden took that season off, pretty much. Pulaski was a weaker character to me.

Voyager and Enterprise were both a waste of time. OK to be fair, Voyager had one well-developed concept that I dug: The Doctor. From hologram that didn't socalize well with people (i.e. jerk) to becoming a character that the rest of the crew as if he actually was real.
Deep Space Nine at the time I didn't appreciate, but now in retrospect its something that was ahead of the curb. Today we're used to TV novels like Battlestar Galactica and Lost, but DS9 dispersed eventually with the episodic formula, and had willingness, good writing (and a patient corporate parent) to storylines across seasons. Also that episode where they become a part of that classic TOS episode with Tribbles was fun.
TNG certainly had more years (and more success) than TOS, so we more good/great episodes from TNG than TOS. But my vote goes to TOS. In fact I'm willing to say Season 3 gets a bad rap. Oh yeah its got more lousy episodes-to-good ratio than season 1 and 2 (to say the least), but season 3 still gave us some decent/good ones. Like the one about the alien that if seen by human eyes, that person goes insane. Clever plot twist.
And well, TOS had no budget but showed that with some awesome writing (and some acting), you can absolutely forget about the cardboard sets and model ships and fake barf-turned-aliens. I mean look at how llong we got many good/great serials from old school Doctor Who.

The third season of TOS has The Enterprise Incident, which is one of the best episodes in the entire saga, if you ask me. But yeah, it was a lot weaker than seasons 1 or 2 overall. It also had the incredibly disappointing Turnabout Intruder as a season (and series) ender.

It also had the incredibly disappointing Turnabout Intruder as a season (and series) ender. Exactly. The problem when anyone tries to defend Series 3 is that it began with "Spock's Brain." Which is like trying to keep the Titanic afloat after it hit the iceburg.
