Impact did a 1.3 against Game 2 of the World Series. Could only be the Hulk Hogan effect that makes the Impact ratings go up against THE WORLD SERIES. Remarkable.

Source?
I think it's too early to know what Hogan's influence will be.

Pwinsider is reporting 1.3 and yes it is early to say what Hogan's long term effect will be but I have no doubt he was responsible for the bump last night.

PW Insider reported the rating. Great news, especially as many people knew it had been taped before he signed.

It will be interesting to see the rating when there is no competition from stuff like the series.
Good news though, and proves that Hogan helps pull interest into TNA.

It'll be better when he's actually on the show in person. Their record should definitely get smashed then.
That's their eleventh 1.3 of the year.

Not really shocking and will go up, but I'd like to see how the ratings do for 6 months before calling it a failure or success.

I'd say it was probably Hulk. It's the reason I gave it a look.

This would be a great iMPACT! rating any week, but to score this going head to head with the World f'n Series is a great sign for TNA's future.
If the Hogan signing lives up to expectations and they continue putting on a strong product, I predict they'll be approaching a 2 rating by the spring.

Not just a World Series, but a World Series featuring the Yankees.

You fools. It wasn't the Hulk. Don't be ridiculous.
Kiyoshi in a jump suit = Ratings.

Wow... that's really good. Could only imagine how much better it would have been if they weren't up against the World Series.

Well, long term you can't depend on Hogan to keep ratings up. Hopefully the ratings can get an even bigger spike when he truly debuts but what TNA is hoping for, or should be hoping for with the extra attention is getting extra viewers interested in guys like AJ, Joe, etc. before the buzz for Hogan dies down so they stick around.
That is a really good number for TNA against the world series.

Doing a little research, I see that iMPACT! also went against the World Series (game 2) last year. It was October 23, 2008 - a notable night for TNA: This was a stacked show which featured the Main Event Mafia's introduction. Its ratings, along with the ratings of the previous and following episodes: Oct. 14: 1.1 Oct. 23: 1.1 (World Series) Oct. 30: 1.16 As we can see, despite being arguably the most hyped and memorable iMPACT! to date, going head-to-head with the World Series clearly took a toll on the ratings, as it did no better than the previous or following episodes (special iMPACTS! always see a measurable gain in ratings). Making things even more positive for this week's rating is the fact that this year's World Series is doing much bigger ratings than last year's, no doubt a result of replacing the Tampa Bay Rays with the mighty Yankees. Viewership for Game 2 of World Series Up 48% From 2008Taking all of the facts into consideration, I'm confident that had this past edition of iMPACT! not aired against the World Series, that the rating would've been around a 1.5 - a huge 36% increase from the previous week's show (1.1).

Hogan is not going to be there. The preview only refers to an "update".
