I was wondering if there was a consensus on what the best shoot interview ever is? What shoot is an absolute MUST-HAVE, in terms of backstage dirt, genuine insight, funny stories, intriguing recollections, and straight-shooting?

I've only seen two: Rob Van Dam and Molly Holly. Both were good.

Jim Cornette ticks all the boxes. Got go with this one. Informative, funny, and always keeps your interest no matter he talks about.

For myself, I'd say Joe/Punk, Punk/Cabana, Chris Candido, and Sunny. Those were my all time favorite shoots.

Big fan of the Kevin Nash one. Its about 3 hours & you can get it on ebay for way less than what RF charges.
Sabu & Chris Candido also get honorable mentions.

I've watched/heard a lot, so here's some: Bull Pain is full of funny stories, as is Axl Rotten's. And Joe/Punk. Cornette's 2000 one is the cornerstone. Raven's, Honky Tonk Man's and Sandman's are all worth listening to. Ditto for the first two Face Offs. If you want to be freaked out, try Ahmed Johnson's and Billy Jack's second shoot. Tom Brandi and Taz get honourable mentions too.

Anything with Raven works. Punk/Joe and Jim Mitchell aren't bad choises either.

Cornette of course, but Scott Hall's shoot (the one where he tears up talking bout Benoit) is a really good one as well.

Piper's Highspots (his RF shoot is HORRIBLY produced) interview is great, and the Flair 4 disc edition is an excellent look at his whole life and career.

Piper's Highspots (his RF shoot is HORRIBLY produced) interview is great, and the Flair 4 disc edition is an excellent look at his whole life and career. But is it simply reiterating bits from his book and DVD interviews where he basically kisses ass half the time? Or is he at least fairly honest about things? I don't mean Bret Hart's Autobiography-level of brutal honesty, but honesty within fairness, and not simply Hunter/Shawn/McMahon fellating.

I don't mean Bret Hart's Autobiography-level of brutal honesty, but honesty within fairness, and not simply Hunter/Shawn/McMahon fellating. You get a different perspective on his 'ass kissing' as you put it from the shoot. The very clear message is that years of WCW BS completely shot his confidence, and he lost that self belief that made him so great in the first place. It's Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Vince McMahon who have that belief in him, and have given him the platform again, and he's appreciative of that.

The massive Flair one. Only shoot that has actually given me tears.
Also, it really makes you think about what an amazing career he had.
However, there is one MASSIVE draw back: he keeps chewing and spitting tobacco and it's bloody disgusting.
