Batista sounds like a lot of the board.
"Blah blah blah, these young kids today don't know rasslin' psychology!"
Wrestling psychology is completely subjective. Anyone can claim a match has no psychology, but doesn't have to prove it because there's no guidebook or rules that say "When wrestler A does this - it means this, but if they do this and this instead, then it doesn't mean anything."
Its all BS, but fun to argue about.

I understand that a lot of the new guys need time to work on their storytelling, but I think it's the process. WWE is so ass backwards it's insane. They take indy guys, or guys that are green as hell and toss them into developmental, and give em a gimmick. Ok... now when it's time to call them up.. they repackage them on the main roster. So, these guys work on a character, then it gets thrown out, they get a new one, have maybe one or two matches to get it over, or get the axe. It makes no sense.

This reminds me of that interview he did a few years ago where he said AJ Styles didn't know how to wrestle. Batista has no real opinion of his own. He just parrots whatever Ric Flair and Triple H always told him.

Besides his promos, the only story Batista tells is that he is big, therefore incapable of movement, or wrestling.

You know, at this point, Dave, thanks to these interviews, is becoming the freaking T.O. of Smackdown. It could be in character, but why would anyone green light an in character comment of "our young guys don't know anything"? Leave it in the locker room, Dave, it'd probably be received better that way. 1st of all, happy new year everyone. In response, there are people who think that Undertaker is going to have words with batista over this, and also, there are people saying that Batista said tht the younger guys "don't know anything", which IMO is taken a little out of context. However, just to show how wrong we on the internet can be, there is a shoot interview with Undertaker himself outright saying that the younger guys don't know anything, and that's not out of context.

Its all BS, but fun to argue about. I disagree. Wrestling psychology is completely objective. There are many different ways o do it and many different types of psychology, but that doesn't negate what it is objectively. Subjectivity is about personal tastes, so someone may not LIKE the psychology, and whether or not someone likes it may be subjective, but that doesn't negate what it is. Just like wrestling in general, whether or not you think a match was good may be subjective, but the skill in putting on a match that most people will subjectively like is an objective skill. Just like whether or not people think a chocolate cake with cookies in it tastes good is subjective, but the skill involved in making a certain type of chocolate cake with the right kind of cookies in it, based off of knowing your subjects, is an objective skill. It is objectively true that John so and so likes chocolate cake with 10 oatmeal cookies in it, even if that particular cake "tasting good" is a subjective opinion, it's an objectively true statement about John so and so. It's the same with wresting, it's objectively true that fans will get excited for crazy high spots, even though it being entertaining is subjective, it's objectively true that 75% of wrestling fans are subjectively entertained by it. It's also objectively true that most wrestling fans will not care about a "spot monkey" unless they do crazy spots.
