If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history? ? Because WCW Champion was "nothing" right?

How fitting....his last PR move was going to a pizzeria.
Maybe there was some "incident" they're covering up. Involving several pounds of dough.

? Because WCW Champion was "nothing" right? "in WWE history" meaning he went from WWE champion to not employed by WWE in as long as it takes to ring a bell.

Well he requested his release, so my guess is WWE just says no. He isn't a big star, but just like Hass, Funaki, etc.. he's a good hand to have. Why would WWE let him go at his request?

I don't see how that can be NOTHING though. Nothing would be having your last match on Heat after being Champion or something like that. I'm not sure I see the reasoning in how losing the title in your last match means that you've "fallen". Especially if you CHOOSE to leave the company.

Bret didn't exactly become a nothing in WWE after SS97. Even though he was gone, he was still a big focus of things at times (Hell, to this day). Dreamer barely gets acknowledged.

Funny how this happens at exactly the time ECW appears to be headed for the dustbin and Shane is gone... As Rorschach would say... HRRM

If i have learned one thing from this thread it's that TNA will hire pretty much anyone. On topic though, if he asked for his release, it's hard to feel sorry for him, but he had a good run and probably will enjoy a well deserved retirement. I actually have a feeling that he was trying what Haas tried

I actually have a feeling that he was trying what Haas tried Um...no they won't. If that was the case, Rikishi, Andrew Martin, and Mr. Kennedy would have gotten permanent contracts with TNA, and Booker would have his old job with them back.

Was hoping that he'd retire or get a kayfabe career ending injury or something like that then as some sort of tribute they'd retire the name ECW. Seemed like a fairly tasteful way to explain why they change the name of a brand suddenly.

I have no problem with this. I am crazy for Dreamer and will always mark out for him whatever he's doing. He's so underrated in the ring by so many people.
He finally had a proper reign with the ECW belt this year, so as far as I'm concerned, his work is done. I'd love to meet the guy and tell him how good his ring work made me feel.

Just watching this match and Styles, Tazz & King are getting really really heated while JR is trying to keep things together.
Do you think this is all totally scripted or is some of it legit?
