WORD OF SURPRISING WWE DEPARTURE SPREADING THROUGH COMPANY by Mike Johnson @ 1:20 PM on 12/21/2009 PWInsider.com has heard from numerous WWE sources that the last standing ECW Original, Tommy Dreamer, is apparently departing World Wrestling Entertainment. The word began making its way among the talent at last night's Smackdown/ECW taping that Dreamer (who had just signed a new deal this past summer) has requested a release from the company. {Spoiler}Dreamer, who has been with the company since July 2001 working a number of different responsibilities at times beyond wrestling, did work last night's ECW taping, facing Zack Ryder. We are working to confirm the story, but have heard it from enough sources that we wanted to make note of it

If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history?

What's Donny Sleepman doing in the Impact Zone? The same thing that Robby Vun Dun is doing I'm waiting for the Dirtman and Testicles Alimony to show up. If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history? Van Dam says hi.

If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history? Well it's not like his title reign was anything more than a Thank You

I feel like chanting "One more time" At him and raven right now. But with hogan running TNA there's no way that's going to happen. Damn it >.<

If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history? Van Dam says hi. He was still in the company and a regular on TV after his run. Dreamer had maybe a month then nothing. If he is gone, has there been a quicker fall from Champion to nothing in WWE history? Well it's not like his title reign was anything more than a Thank You He was still champ. It's just odd to see such a drop off.

He was still in the company and a regular on TV after his run. Dreamer had maybe a month then nothing. But Van Dam was never even came close to retaining the push he had following the bust. He was back to being nothing but the bridesmaid, and never the bride.

If its true, he's been with WWE for years and should have saved up enough money to live the rest of his life on. And I'm sure he'd have no problem with special indy appearances every once in a while with the other ECW Originals. At least he's leaving on his own terms, not given a pink slip.
At least Zack Ryder gets to have this rub, he can say he took out the last ECW Original.
