I'm willing to give him a fair shot, he never really had much of an act in the 'E and he's changed his look some and spent time wrestling internationally so here's hoping he develops into an interesting character.
I hope he bisexual thing isn't played up really, despite sounding a cheerleader for Russo at times I don't trust him to handle a the character well. Cassandro/Andromeda bailed on them for a reason.

That was a pretty good match. Pope slapped the hell out of OJ and it looked more like a fight than a match. Pope also took a nasty Dragon screw leg whip throught the rope. It was an entertaining match.

Still, eventually if they keep him together Jordan should be the Pope's lackey. Plenty of potential there.

No, in the long run I don't think Jordan is.
Seriously, the guy has the potential to have some good matches but other than that, what does he bring to the table for TNA? Is he really good in the ring or on the mic? No.
I see no reason to bring in Orlando Jordan when you have a roster full of people with more talent and charisma than him. You want to put someone in a program with Pope then use Lethal or Creed or MCMG or even Homicide. Someone that is just as good as Jordan, if not better, and has actual charisma.

It's amazing to me that a guy like Pope, who has charisma, good wrestling skill, and is over at the iMPACT Zone jobs to a guy who fans have no desire to see. I can only hope next week or so Pope gets his win back vs OJ. Jesus Pope didn't Job. He dominated the match till OJ took advantage of a injury and got a cheap win.

I'm not a fan so far, except for that time he was part of JBL's cabinet. But I'm willing to give him a second chance.

I think Orlando Jordan is unfairly persecuted by wrestling fans. He was not the best wrestler in WWE but he has grown by leaps and bounds. I hate when people say, "He's a joke. He lost to Chris Benoit in less than 30 seconds for his US title." Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the same thing happen to Steve Austin against Hacksaw Jim Duggan? I think his career recovered quite nicely. Give this man a break. Mean Mark wasn't always the Undertaker. Rocky Maivia wasn't always The Rock. Terra Ryzing wasn't always Triple H. Shawn Michaels wasn't always Mr. Wrestlemania and the Showstopper. They, like many other wrestlers had to be given a chance to grow. Why can't you guys give OJ a chance?

I'm o.k. with Jordan. He has a good, stand-out look, is a decent performer and at least showed a little charisma on Thursday.
I'm pretty sure his character is gonna be that of a flamboyant homosexual (who happens to be o.k. with women, too). It's a long-standing wrestling tradition, one that's currently missing in both TNA and the WWE. I also agree that if his feud with Pope continues, it'll eventually be sexually themed, with Pope rejecting Jordan's come-ons. Whoopie Goldberg Goldust?

I, if no one else would appreciate something like that. How's this: The two go through a series of one-on-one matches. Each match contains a few odd moments that would suggest that Jordan might have a thing for the Pope if you're the following/thinking type. A completely non-wrestling level of subtlety would work well here. Something then happens to force them to tag against another opponent. Something more overtly gay happens. Pope flips out. Eric sees this and just thinks it would be a gas if the two were made a permanent tag team, so he does just that. It begins as a comedic thing with Orlando doing things that causes Pope to either get angry/flee that end up costing them a bunch of matches. Eventually though, they must tighten up and face a serious opponent, so they do just that, and in doing so earn each others' respect. ;D

Only time will tell what happens with OJ's career. I will say though, that it makes sense to me for them to hire the guy. Here's a guy who started off ok in WWE but ended up getting jobbed out in a very embarassing way and then getting released, but instead of giving up he decided to keep working and try his fortunes elsewhere. Now his work ethic has been rewarded, as he's been hired by TNA and is going to get another shot. I personally feel that he's earned the oppurtunity.
And while I haven't seen much of his post-WWE work, I think it's completely unfair for anyone to call him "bland" or anything else when he's had one match and barely had a chance to speak. Even when he was in WWE he didn't get much mic time and that was years ago. "Stunning" Steve Austin was kinda bland too, he was just another bleach blonde guy with a flashy robe until he found his niche. Can OJ make a similar transition? Little to no chance, but you never know with wrestling.

There are plenty of people in the TNA roster who are better talkers and better wrestlers and are younger. He adds nothing to TNA programing , he has no star power, average in the ring, and I have seen more charisma in a stop sign. And for so reason I find it really hard to like him from what I have seen. Everything from his stupid robe and the awkward shimmy he did on the way to the ring ,and he looks like a woman. The only positive I see in him is his entrance music is kinda good. So no Orlando Jordan is not worth the investment and adds nothing to TNA for the hardcore or casual TNA fan.

I do not think he is bad at all. I feel it could be very decent for TNA. I do not have any problems with him in TNA at all. I mean he had a decent match this week.

Maybe OJ and Jay Lethal, Eric Young, Kaz, somebody who's not doing anything right now.

He is decent at best, why does TNA need just another decent talent? We've barely gotten a look at the guy. We don't even really know who he is yet in TNA so how can you just write him off as decent at best? There's no basis for that, and generally speaking, the longer people do something the better they get at it so there's no reason to assume that he's at the same level he was the last time you saw him.

Even when slapping someone Orlando looks bored. Seriously, look at that face. That face looks like a guy who just got told he needs to put a cover sheet on his TPS reports, not a guy who's pimp slapping another man. There's no emotion there whatsoever. The guy's a black hole from which charisma and emotion cannot escape.

Then why not play to that strength?
Cold and emotionless play no part in a wrestling character repertoire eh?
