Then why not play to that strength? Cold and emotionless play no part in a wrestling character repertoire eh? When he's apparently supposed to be a "cocky heel", no, not to particular repetoir, no. From what I've seen and been lead to understand, he's supposed to be a cocky asshole. "Cold and emotionless" does not work for that character.

The change the character rather than just fire the guy because the company can't be arsed to work with him and play to his strengths. This isn't American Idol, there isn't an endless list of people waiting outside if they want to toss you to the kerb. TNA have to learn to work with people and develop wrestlers based on the strengths of their own character.

Personally I'd stick him with Pope as his 'body guard'.
But someone who Pope uses. You know, he comes out, pretending to have a bad food, so he sends Jordan out for him.
There are ways to utilise the guy.

Changing his entire gimmick and personality this soon into the game is gonna kill him dead quicker than anything he'll do on his own, anyways. You say there isn't an endless list of people out there waiting to work for TNA, but there is. There are a thousand Orlando Jordan's on the independent scene. Not only are there a thousand Jordans, there are dozens or hundreds of guys that are better than him.

What world are we living in where two TV appearances and your gimmick is considered etched in stone? He's been on TNA five minutes.

I don't think OJ is the same man he was back in 06. He's had the time to go overseas and gain experience. And good experience. He had the opportunity to help draw halfway decent crowds over in Europe. I'm not against him being in TNA, because he can be similar to guys who left WWE, but made a name for themselves in TNA, such as Matt Morgan, Tomko and The Pope. Now, Tomko is a bit out of shape, but it seems OJ stayed in good shape, I don't see anything wrong with his wrestling. I think he should be given a chance in the spotlight.
Orlando traveled the world and he's not the guy who jobbed to Chris Benoit's piss and coffee making abilities. But then again, his run in TNA could go both ways. Get it, both ways. Haha, I'm hilarious.

I've seen all I need to see from OJ. If he can't get over with me in half a decade, he's not ever going to. I've seen him in WWE; I've played as him in videogames, which is somehow even less entertaining than watching him live; I've seen his overseas work; and now I've seen him in TNA. If he can't get me to give a damn after all that, it simply ain't gon' happen, and I'm willing to bet that I'm not alone in thinking that.

OJ was best when he worked with JBL in WWE. There would be no harm in signing JBL to TNA and having these two work together

No. He is not a worthy investment. Rob Conway is more worthy than him. But if TNA fires him, he'll sue them cause he's gay and it's illegal to fire gays cause they're gay. See?

Just watched his match with Pope. I was kind of into it, kind of not. I mean it was enough that I was interested, but just wish they would have played to the leg a little more. Like maybe OJ actually gunning for it, and Pope blocking, until he just gets caught. Instead it was kind of like a regular match, one move on the knee, finish, over.
Either way, Im interested to see more from the two.

I think this is more of a shot in the dark move by TNA. We know someone like Morley is destined to be a jobber (win against Daniels aside), but if Jordan ever gets over with the crowd in some capacity he could be useful since he is not fully established.
I doubt OJ turns out to be anything, but I don't think it hurts TNA to try. Take a chance. If it works, they created something out of nothing. If it doesn't, no harm done. He can always job back to Pope and be phased out.

I'm actually really rooting for OJ now just because I think certain people are being so unfair to the guy. I really want to see him succeed now.

^ I love it when questions and answers line up so nicely on the front page. Honestly though, I like OJ's theme music in TNA. It's got a nice beat. And I didn't think his match was anything too horrible. Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred Wolfe got a TV match instead of OJ, but this is an era of change.
