Rick Martel wasn't a model!!! (I suddenly realize the innocence that was just swiped from me.) Of course he was a model... he had a big button and everything! The new logo is pretty meh... I never liked their logo to begin with though. Also I think it highlights the scaling back of what made them unique to begin with as the background is no longer an X. It's still an X, with the top of the T, the slash of the N, and the lower part of the A making the other part of the X.

I actually don't like the new logo. It's looks overly simplified and "sophisticated". An accurate description of Hogan, if I may say. "I get along great with Dana White -- he's awesome."
I'm sure they trade Ed Hardy shirts all the time. Especially after sleepovers.

On January 4th, 2010 Hogan will slam the 1,792.5 pound Vince McMahon straight to Hell brother! Single handedly saving North American pro wrestling dude!

Okay, so if Hogan really is running things behind the scenes now, why haven't we heard of Russo's departure? Sorry, but this still smells like a huge work. Even that or Hogan just can't help but overstate his importance in whatever role he has. Russo is the one putting together the show scripts now, replacing him without a proper replacement who knows TNA's timing and everything would be pretty stupid on their part. I think in time someone will take the job, but for now, if Russo just shuts up and let's Hogan run wild... he'll probably keep his job.

I was hoping TNA's new logo would be "TNA" written in the "HULKAMANIA" font.
Anyone here willing to make that happen?

If there's anything I learned from wrestling, it's that I don't believe any of them. They're all a bunch of big, fat, smelly liars. That includes you Rick Martel. I know you weren't REALLY a model. Lanny Poffo wasn't really a genius. More like a C student.

Even that or Hogan just can't help but overstate his importance in whatever role he has. This is what I keep thinking. It seems like he is either talking way too much or it is one big work. Also does anyone else find it funny that Hogan is more accurate when he talks about the history of MMA compared to when he talks about the history of wrestling?

Why is it that every time I read a post on here anymore, it's filled with Hogan bashing? Even when he's right on the money, people still can't swallow their pride and give him credit.

I have been a casual reader of this forum since Hogan signed on (haven't really watched wrestling at all since WCW died) but I am starting to think TNA doesn't deserve whatever recognition Hogan is going to give them. He would be better off in Vince's company where they probably would have given him a WM farewell, rather than trying to help a company whose fanbase is filled with "smart wrestling fans" who will never appreciate what he did for the business. Ironically, smart wrestling fans act their dumbest when it relates to Hogan because they have no idea of what is a work and what is a shoot with him. When he is in character, they think he is serious. When he is serious, they think he is working them. That reflects more on the stupidity of the fanbase than it does on Hogan. I agree 100% with Hulk on this one. All my friends are in their late-20's/early-30's, and it's all MMA or boxing. No one gives a crap about wrestling anymore, haven't since 2000. I haven't watched since 2001. Only here now to check out what Hogan is up to. If TNA doesn't give me anything else to look forward to, then I am out after the first episode most likely. MMA is the in thing, and while wrestling will never able to copy it exactly, they can take elements from it to enhance the product. Hopefully it involves a more 80's style of wrestling (psychology based). Make every move matter.

The current name was apparently Russo's idea and besides the obvious pun in the title (which is probably why the Knockouts get better ratings), "Total Nonstop Action" is a bit of misleading, given all the promos and backstage segments...
