-- According to The Sports Courier, Scott Hall has in fact signed a contract with TNA Wrestling. The website's source states Hall, who is now 51, will return to the organization during its live three-hour broadcast on Monday, January 4, 2010. (TSC Exclusive: Scott Hall signs with TNA)
-- TNA officials met with executives from Spike last week. One source described it as routine meeting that the two parties have a few times a year. Although, TNA and Spike also met following the Hulk Hogan press conference in New York City a few weeks ago, and with all the talk regarding big plans in the new year, the assumption is that it was more than just a typical meeting. (source: http://www.pwtorch.com)
-- Jeff Wilen of The Daytona Beach News-Journal recently conducted an interview with Daniels, who competed in a World title match this past Sunday at Final Resolution. Daniels discusses his history with AJ Styles, turning heel, his ring name, past injuries, and more.

So what is the saying for them going to be now? Burn me eight times, shame on me ... eventually?
Why not just bring in Janetty as well and just go all the way with it?

I'm looking forward to seeing how he does this time around. The guy is always entertaining to watch so I've got no problem with them signing him. I just hope he lasts more than two weeks.

Guys, what do you expect? They've been trying to build the company around AJ, Joe, Daniels, Beer Money, and the casual joe off the street doesn't give a rat's patoot because they don't know who these guys are. I know they already have Angle and Foley and a few other big names, but you have to have more of these established names to pull in the casual viewer who hasn't watched in years.
It's like local bands. You WANT to do nothing but play your own music and get yourself over for who you are, but you almost always have to play a handful of covers to get people interested and in the door. Then when you have them hooked with the covers, you smack them upside the head with your own home grown originals.
I don't know that Hall is the "big name" to haul in Joe Schmo, but it's a start.

All you guys saying this is a bad idea do know that they are using older talent so they can hook the older fans who quit watching wrestling right?
I've heard Scott Hall is doing a lot better these days so I don't think there will be any problems. I would actually like to see Nash turn face and turn on World Elite and have him and Hall face British Invasion. I mean we have the rest of the Clique in WWE why not have the other two in a team in TNA?

The WWE is still pushing old timers like HHH, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, and possibly Bret Hart. So I don't see why TNA is criticized for using Hall. It wasn't long ago that WWE main event pushed Ric Flair (nearly 60), and people kept going on about how his WM match was one of the greatest of all time.

All you guys saying this is a bad idea do know that they are using older talent so they can hook the older fans who quit watching wrestling right? This strategy absolutely doesn't work! You know how we know that? Because TNA has tried it time and time and time again and nothing ever comes of it. Just like the times they brought in Bagwell, Sabu, Duggan, Rikishi, Terry Funk, Hawk, Mr. Perfect, Brother Runt, Test, Luger, Randy Savage, Piper, DDP and the past TWO times they brought in Hall and Waltman! Even Foley, Sting and Booker T didn't do a damn to bring in new fans. The only guys who made a dent were Christian and Angle - but that's only because TNA signed them while they were still in their prime - not after they already washed up on the shores of obscurity. TNA's problem is not that they don't have stars that can draw - the problem is that barely any people know TNA exist. Nash has said it himself - people come up to him in airports all the time and ask why he doesn't wrestle anymore; when he says he wrestles for TNA - they have no idea who they're talking about. TNA needs to learn how to promote the orginzation better and not by name-dropping. Bringing in recognizable older names hasn't bumped TNA's ratings in the past seven years and its not going to start now.

Please tell me you didn't just compare Scott Hall now to Undertaker and Shawn Michaels now. Hall can barely stumble these days without pouring a gallon of liquid courage down into his ever increasing gut.

they have no idea who they're talking about. TNA needs to learn how to promote the orginzation better and not by name-dropping. I think that's why they hired Bischoff's company.
