They should rename it Artistic Sporting Snobs.

So it's another Sapolsky booked fed that seems to take itself far too seriously?
I'm strongly in the wait and see approach here.

I can see why people wouldn't want the entirety of the wrestling industry to be like this but I'm not sure what the big deal is if one such niche promotion exists.

I'm personally not against another promotion coming into the fold. Though I am a little worried what effect Gabe's involvement will do the ROH (anything akin to the DG-USA mania weekend issue). Now if he can book it similarly to ROH in '05 up to mid-late '06, I'll be interested. But if it's anything like that weak, second rate, puro crap he was shilling in his last year and a half, I'll be completely uninterested and pissed that we could potentially lose guys to it.

You'll be pissed that guys you like are getting paid to do things that you don't find entertaining? Do you just turn on cable news and shake your fist at the screen?

Hell I can a method such as this working on a large scale as well. Look at Goldberg, the biggest WCW-grown star in the Monday Night Wars, part of the fun of his gimmick was counting up his wins like a legitimate sport.

Oh, you're a laugh and a half buddy. I don't care where else anyone wrestles. I understand they need to get paid somehow. But my concerns stem from potentially losing guys from other promotions I follow due to connections involving a certain ex-booker (not saying it's certain he does, but I don't think it's out of the question). If what they end up offering is something new and exciting, then great. But if it's a continuation of bland, by the numbers stuff we've seen so many times before, consider me frustrated.

Anyway...
I don't know if any of you say this yet, but Gabe and company has started to reveal the roster for the debut show. So far, we have...
Davey Richards (obviously) Ricochet TJ Perkins Bobby Fish

I like Ricochet in crazy flippy undercard matches. Hopefully they use him in that manner.

Well, two new additions have been made on the site, to the tag team division. A tag team called "Aeroform", whoever that is, I'm sure someone will know, and the unit of Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, and Hallowicked, whom I'm sure will figure out their regular tag units soon enough. And I'm now three times as pumped up for this promotion.
Edit: Okay, I just learned that Aeroform is Flip Kendrick and Louis Lyndon, so now I'm pretty excited about that, because, while I've never seen Lyndon, I'm a huge Flip Kendrick fan.

If you hold your mouse over the names for the Singles and Tag Division wrestlers, it gives you a small blurb. It also does that for the question marks in the Singles Division. They say "waiting for contract back from Midwest" and "hidden jewel uncovered."
Interesting.

On EVOLVE's MySpace Page, they have these wrestlers on their friend list (who are not listed on the site): Player Uno Jonathan Gresham

I just noticed that, too. Louis Lyndon is on the site, though, as one-half of Aeroform.

I know the guy personally, and he's a kick ass wrestler. He's a bit on the small side, but is incredibly talented.
