Who is all kinds of awesome, btw. Not just as a "Kicky McKick Shoot-Style Japanese Dude" kinda way, but his nickname is Munenori "Hentai" Sawa. Hell, look at the following:

According to the website, a... um... "Super Evolve" will be happening tomorrow. At this point in the proceedings, I can't tell if I'm following a wrestling promotion or watching Dragon Ball Z. Davey: "I can't believe it, Kota is Super Evolving! Gabe what's his power level?" Gabe: "IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!" *smashes plastic ash tray* Davey: "It's okay. There's only 15 people on an internet message board who know." Gabe: "It's a D...V...*smashes another*...D product!"

Three more names confirmed on the site today...Brad Allen (aka Brad Attitude), Kyle O'Reilly, and Arik Cannon. All sound like strong additions. I've heard of Brad Attitude, and heard good things, I'm a fan of Cannon, and I'm always willing to give a new guy a chance, so O'Reilly's welcome. When they say "hidden gem" when they talk about Kyle O'Reilly, they're not lying. I've been watching the dude wrestle for literally years, and he's put on MOTN matches in ECCW, and even an MOTY I think. Can't wait to see him on a larger stage.

A full website is up now, and Johnny Gargano and Silas Young have been added to the roster.
Moreover, more matches than just Richards vs. Ibushi have been added, including:
Official Tag Team Division Six Man Match Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw & Hallowicked vs. Gran Akuma, Icarus & Brodie Lee
Official Singles Division Match TJP vs. Munenori Sawa
Qualifying Match Chuck Taylor vs. Cheech

I'm all sorts of excited about this promotion. Gabe's newest blog post is incredible. I really enjoyed him using the word 'storylines' in reference to EVOLVE because the thing I have been most skeptical about is basing the promotion solely on W-L records.
By the way, I like how he is naming the events with numbers like the UFC. It's a nice touch.
Finally, I'm all sorts of excited to see Ken Doane in EVOLVE. I'm a Kenny Dykstra mark. Has anyone seen his match with Scorpio for DGUSA. Was it good?

Gabe better be careful. If Brodie shaves below his lip any time soon, Triple H might come calling for a new U.S. Champion on Raw...

Aeroform are actually halfway decent (and coming from me...) for flippy indie guys. Part of it is that I see them at a fed like AAW, as opposed to ROH. And part of it is that Louis Lyndon especially makes me care as a fan; he actually does a decent job as a face in peril. Kendrick is athletic, but I haven't seen enough to be impressed otherwise. And now that Evolve's roster page is more complete, Lyndon now has a full-time fan and will have a big-time one-man cheering section against the House of Truth in their big AAW Tag Team Title match this Saturday. Why? This:

Some funny things from the bios
From Brodie Lees bio:
3) What are you favorite TV shows, movies and music? TV:Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Bang Theory, Two And A Half Men, Jersey Shore, People's Court
From Gran Akumas: 3) What are you favorite TV shows, movies and music? I listen to a lot of Punk and Ska, with a particular love for covers, the more random and inappropriate the better
Just found those funny

It is so painfully obvious the videos are of Jimmy Jacobs. He wears those zebra lookin snake skin boots all the time. Pretty pointless.

Give this man a rude boy gimmick with a Streetlight Manifesto song as his entrance song... then turn him into an indie kid and give him Ted Leo's "Where have all the Rude Boys gone?" as a theme song. Perfect.

Interesting concept. I remember in the early days of ROH, they placed a lot of emphasis on the Code of Honor and other things like that in the company (including stuff like the Top 5 rankings), and it was done to make the company stand out and come off like they had a serious structure that was carefully followed. Also, it meant when someone broke the Code of Honor, it meant a lot. A Fight Without Honor was a big deal and gaining contendership to a World Title match was a big deal. By the time of Faction Warfare in 2007 happened, the structure was all but gone and ROH has suffered because of it. I hope Gabe is able to book within the rules he has set for himself otherwise people will sour on this very fast.
