In his latest interview with Clubwii, Paul Roma is asked about Shawn Michaels and here is his response:
“Shawn Michaels is a good showman, but again, you know, he’s getting into that time of Flair. If he wasn’t buddy/buddy with Triple H, he wouldn’t be around. Let’s face it. Come on. Do you think someone wants to see a 160 pound guy that looks like Michael Jackson wrestle? Come on, man. The guy’s not healthy.”
So what do you all think of Roma's latest comments?

Well he's entitled to his opinion, but honestly, other than Cena and Hunter, nobody has been as consistently good in WWE.

So says the guy that made even Steve McMichael look like a good member of the Horsemen by comparison.

Bitter much, Paul?
The only seats Roma has consistently put asses in are toilet seats from people going to take a dump whenever he went out to the ring.

Paul Roma talking shit about Shawn Michaels is like Barry Darsow ripping on someone's gimmick ... or Jack Swagger making fun of someone's lisp ... or Hulk Hogan calling somebody bald .... or, well, you see where I'm going here.
Shawn Michaels is the greatest in-ring performer I have ever seen in my 25 (+/-) years of watching wrestling. Paul Roma? Not so much.

Who the hell is Paul Roma? Paul Roma was one-half of the JTTS tag teams The Young Stallions (as a face with Jimmy Powers) and Power & Glory (as a heel with Hercules, managed by Slick) before joining WCW as the third "surprise" Horseman (I don't count Ole Anderson at that point, since he made one, non-wrestling appearance and was waaaaaay past his prime), winning the WCW World Tag Team championship with Arn Anderson before turning heel and adopting the nickname "Pretty" Paul Roma, teaming with "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff as Pretty Wonderful, who had two reigns as World Tag Team champions. Also, he sucks.

Well he's entitled to his opinion, but honestly, other than Cena and Hunter, nobody has been as consistently good in WWE. I would add Savage, Bret Hart and Undertaker to that list for consistently good. But yeah, I still love how Aytch buried Roma on the Horsemen DVD? "Paul Roma? The job guy from WWE is a Horsemen?" And he was so right.

Geez. Between this, his comments on the Four Horsemen DVD ("Ric Flair wishes he could be me," Paul? Honestly?), and things like this: www.wrestlinggonewrong.com/video/paulroma_fired.htmlThe more I see that Paul Roma is an egomaniacal prick with his head up his rear end. His opinions aren't worth crap.

Shawn has had the match of the year at least the last 2 years in a row. What has Roma done? Nothing.
Although he did pin Shawn at Survivor Series 90, so at least he has that in his Horsemen credentials.

While I am not the biggest HBK fan, he's had the best match at WM the past 2 years, one of which included Flair.
And not healthy? I bet Shawn is healthier than ever. He's not doing pills, he's not drinking (I think), he's not doing drugs.
Paul just got his 15 minutes in the spot light with that comment.

All I know is that I can always watch an HBK match and enjoy it no matter who the opponent is, can't say the same for Roma matches.

His opinions aren't worth crap. I think he was playing kayfabe in that one, which is pointless since it was 15 years later that the DVD was made and the company went out of business. As far as burying Shawn Michaels is concerned, he's just jealous he didn't get anywhere as a wrestler.

His claim that Michaels is only employed because of Triple H and that nobody wants to see him wrestle got a good laugh out of me. Yeah, I'm sure Triple H is really twisting Vince's arm to keep one of the biggest stars of past and present WWE on the payroll.
