Maybe he meant to quote my post? Cause otherwise that didn't make much sense.

You need great matches to be a great worker. Roma never had a **** or ***** match. Star ratings are subjective. Watch his matches. He is great in the ring. He may have not won any world titles but he had a fairly long career. He pushed because of his wonderful personality...

What? In what way does that link to what I said? If you agreed, you would't be hailing Paul Roma as some great figure in wrestling or some unbiased truth teller. I'm not saying Roma is either one of those things. His opinion is just that, his opinion. He's not exactly saying anything new here. I just think he gets a bad wrap.

Really, i think you just come out like a douchebag, calling guys a "showman" who are willing to put their bodies on the line for our entertainment. So HBK is "old" in wrestling years? Is Roma jealous he could never go like this in his 40s? HBK certainly has more money and fame and glory than Roma ever had because of the business, and for whatever reason he continues to do it. Maybe Roma just could never understand the passion guys like Shawn have for the business. Maybe he was never good enough.

A lot of people are taking this pretty personally. Who knows? Roma had talent and it's obvious HBK has talent. No one knows, really, why HBK is still featured as much as he is. I'm glad he's such a hell of a worker, even at this point in his career.
Roma can criticize as much as he wants. Apparently, for many people, he shouldn't be listened to because he did not have a legendary career. That's their right to think that way. I think it's a bit short sighted, though, just as short sighted as Roma's comments. Since we don't know details behind the scenes, its best not to focus on the more subjective elements.
I liked Roma. I don't think its fair to say he was a nobody. Not everyone can have the same career as the HBKs and the Flairs of the world.
