I already knew unprotected chair shots weren't allowed, but this seems to mean every kind of chair shot to the head. Protected or not.

I say, good, at least in theory. Now they will have to try to book actual good wrestling matches where the talent will actually have to WRESTLE.
In theory, anyway.

What about being thrown into the steel steps?

So basically, suspensions for mid carders, small fines for main eventers.

Sure this isn't just Kayfabe? Technically since its part of the wellness it cant be kayfabe, but the fines might only be $1

Good in theory, but it'll be interesting to see if it sticks.

From a kayfabe point of view, it'll at least eliminate people like HHH, Cena and Batista from getting up 35 seconds after being decked in the head with a steel chair. I can believe that more if you get in the back...
And if for some reason they do chair shot to the head.. they better stay down and make it seem like a henious act.

Why bother? If someone can take a chair shot to the back that can get them hooked on pain killers. So really is it gonna make that much of a difference? From a kayfabe point of view, it'll at least eliminate people like HHH, Cena and Batista from getting up 35 seconds after being decked in the head with a steel chair. I can believe that more if you get in the back... I always hated the way HHH took chair shots and very blatantly put his hand in the way then would get up and be bleeding from the head.

What about being thrown into the steel steps? Come on, in WWE, 95% of all wrestlers take that bump on their shoulders/upper back, with a tiny minority taking the bump Foley-style to the knees. It's not a head bump and never was, nor should it be.

Good. Maybe they'll sell the chair shot to the back better. I hate on how they stand up straight after and seem to have no problems with there back. Hell they should wince every time they kick out or something to sell the effect. It makes an interesting dynamic as well in the match that laying flat on your back should be the best feeling you get after taking many chairshots to the spine.

This Monday TNA will counter by Abyss bleeding a gusher after AJ hits him 24 times in the head with a chair.
Also it should make for an interesting Chair Match at TLC

Good. I just never cared for chair shots to the head in general. You dont need them to put a guy over, and as we've seen, they can cause problems.

So they are bringing back the wooden folding chairs?

Wow, this is really stupid. In my opinion, the chair shots, while lesser than in other years, can help an angle reach a certain stratosphere. Who cares about a concussion when most chairshots to the head are blocked with hands anyway? Next they're gonna ban back-bodydrops for the same reason.

I'm suprised it wasn't every weapon shot to the head being banned

Who cares about a concussion when most chairshots to the head are blocked with hands anyway? It's not always a safe guaranteed block, considering the velocity of a chairshot's swing at times.
