I wonder what the reaction was from the crowd. We were stunned actually and it took the referee forever to ring the bell and I was waiting for Jericho to nail the Codebreaker on Swagger since it took so long but thankfully that did not happen. After he won and held the belt up, the crowd was booing and then when he came out at the end of the show for his State of the Championship address, there was tremendous heat where I could not even hear his speech. |

He won the MITB qualifier.
Personally, I think his losing streak was a loyalty test. He passed.

He won the MITB qualifier. Personally, I think his losing streak was a loyalty test. He passed. I was thinking the same thing. I don't remember this much buzz about a title change in quite some time. Kurt Angle, i think. |

CM Punk, JTTS before he cashed in MITB Same with Edge Winning the title almost cleans the slate, and Swagger now has to prove to the world he deserves to be in the main event. If not, he falls back down the roster. If he does, then he becomes one of the biggest heels in the company. |

21 pages for Swagger winning the big gold belt? Wow! Good for Swagger! I hope he gets a pretty lengthy run to establish himself. I've said it a million times, I hate it when guys hold the belt for just a few weeks.

In all honesty, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a Swagger mark, I can see him having a long run, possibly to the Rumble or even Mania. Have wrestlers like Morrision, Truth, Drew, Kane all step up to the main event stage by taking on Swagger, and use the belt for what it is actually meant to be: a prop to get people over with!

You know what is somewhat irritating about Swagger's win? It shows that the company is willing to give shots at the top to people who have proven that they aren't great talkers....so long as they are a hoss. There are a ton of talented midcard who talk as well or better than Jack, some of whom are also very over as well. I like Swagger, but I have yet to see anything from him that even suggests that he should be anything more than a midcarder. Where are people getting this whole idea that Swagger can't cut a good promo? People can't get past the lisp, but you forget two of the all time greatest promo guys EVER had lisps. Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes. |
