f***ING HELL The ONE channel I don't get. Dammit. f*** s*** s*** f***er motherf***ing bitches Whyyyyyyyyy is my college dorm so idiotic? GIVE ME SYFY DAMMIT /overreaction Aren't you from the Bay Area? It's channel 72 That's TV Land on my campus. We use some idiotic channel system that's mostly the same as the rest of the bay area, but a few channels (Animal Planet and SyFy for example) have been switched out for other stuff.

Complain to the Student government or the college cable system operator and ask them about adding Syfy over the summer.

Well, this is certainly an odd decision, but not unexpected. SD is the only original programming left on MyNet, and it almost never gets mentioned as such. I think we're going to be seeing MyNet going away very soon, and this was a pre-emptive move on WWE's and Universal's side.
Doesn't matter much to me, I get SciFi, but it just seems odd that it would go there instead of to USA.

Also I have compiled a list of pros and cons.
Pros: No more pre-emptions, better channel quality, more viewership availability, cross-promotion with NXT and other SyFy shows, better HD channels, overrun similar to RAW & SD, and less restrictions since they're on cable now
Cons: No more terrestrial television, this must suck for Sci-Fi fans, and it's still on Fridays

So is Conan replacing George Lopez or is TBS having 2 "interview stars comedy" show
Also if you don't use google video or youtube or crunchy roll or animejunkie to watch anime and rely entirely on AniMonday and Adult Swim Saturday jeez I feel bad for you.

Great. The only channel I actually do get with wrestling on it is MyNetwork. I don't have cable and I have to get it with an antenna. They're going to take that away from me now too. Well, at least there's the internet. Remember when major wrestling promotions weren't excusively on cable? I remember syndicated programs like Superstars and later on Shotgun. Also when I was very little my friend watched an NWA program that was syndicated, but I forgot what show it was. Was it Worldwide or Pro? But from what I remember Saturday Night's Main Event/the Main Event were the only shows exclusively on a major broadcast network. Although these days with all of the sister channels and ridiculous amounts of cable channels it doesn't seem like any new programming is syndicated.

Regardless what the article is saying right now, are we sure that it's even going to stay on Fridays? Fridays have been SyFy's marquee night for at least ten years. All of their big deal shows (Farscape, the Stargate franchise, Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Doctor Who, and so on) have aired on Friday from nine to eleven. I don't see them giving it up without a fight.
Oh... And the following is from my fiancée, who is both a Sackdown fan and a Sci-Fi geek:
"They cannot get rid of Sci-Fridays. They can't. It's been there forever. They can move their fifth airing of Cyber-Anaconda vs. Zombie Shark from Tuesday in order to fit wrestling. They can't do that to Fridays. Their frakking network would be off the air right now if it wasn't for their Friday shows. They can't do this!"

Well at least it's a step in the right direction....
I get MyNetworkTV but the picture quality is HORRIBLE so I never watch SD! because of that.
So I'm glad to hear they are going to be on cable and at that SyFy...futher showing commitment to wrestling. Also, it will reach more people which can only be a positive.
Now if they would just move to a new timeslot.....
ROH - Mondays RAW - Mondays TNA - Mondays & Thursdays NXT - Tuesdays Superstars - Wednesday SD! - Friday Sundays = ppvs Saturdays = nothing
There is no reason not to move back to Thursday nights now. They'd be running on a very popular tv night and against a TNA rerun. Not exactly competition other than basketball/baseball, Survivor, ect.

Good.
While I get both MyNetwork and SyFy anyway, I'd much rather SmackDown! be on a channel that more people actually seem to get, as well as one that won't have to worry about preemption's all the time.
Still don't completely understand the decision to remain on Friday, especially with Impact not on Thursday anymore (except for the replay). Unless they are concerned with Superstars, since it airs on Thursday. But it seems like a show that would be easy to move to, say, Saturday or Wednesday. It was UPN back in the day that made the call to move SD to Friday, not WWE. So I don't get why they don't just move back when I'm sure they have the option to do so.

Well, my new satellite will actually pick it up, but doesn't really change that it's a poor fit and no one's going to be watching it.

Maybe they can have a crossover with Army Wives or have a special guest appearence by whichever Golden Girl is still alive. I can see it now... "Betty White... Are you willing to accept straight edge into your life?"

Conan at 11 & Lopez at 12. Great news about Smackdown for me, since I actually get SyFy unlike MyNetwork, so at least I can watch it on TV instead of on Youtube.

Last I heard SmackDown's ratings were doing badly and usually even on here where SmackDown is beloved (for some reason) it seems to be lucky if it gets as much talk devoted to it as NXT does. Combine with the fact no one watches NXT either and I wouldn't be too surprised if SmackDown doesn't do well. It'll certainly be better off, but not expecting 3.anythings.

Superstars isn't important anyway in the grand scheme of things so I doubt it would be missed.

My nephew (a big fan, I think WWE's kid-marketing is working well) will be disappointed, all they get is basic cable.
Cable packages are ripoffs these days- $60-ish bucks for a whole lot of channels one doesn't watch. Although I think a big reason why my sister (his mother) doesn't get anything more than basic cable is that the programming is (somewhat) morally cleaner for her kids. My nephew loves PBS and WWE, which I'm sure some would think is rather conflicting. But yeah- my neph's in for a whole lot of heartbreak, Friday's his best night of the week.

I hope they at least try to shop NXT or Superstars to network TV so they can still have something on terrestrial TV
