Thus whole thing seems odd. Carlito's never had a major suspension, to my knowledge, and his biggest problem has been attitude-related. I wonder if they got him on a minor thing, and the WWE decided to cut their losses quick. Will be interesting to hear Carlito's side in all this. He's never been one to stifle his opinions.

Regardless of the situations, rejecting rehab is a stupid thing to do.

This is bullshit. Carlito was always a favorite of mine and I always hoped he would turn his career around...ugh.
Oh well. I hope they bring up the other Colon and team him with Primo so he's not wasted as well.

I bet Carlito will have a interesting interview/response to this situation.

This just plain stinks. Carlito was always entertaining and great in the ring. I'd really like to know what he tested positive for before I form an opinion on his rehab refusal (at this point, I'm assuming it's recreational drugs). It's just a shame in so many ways.
This is SO not cool.

I love how, after being completely wasted for a year, this happens a week after Carlito finally gets an angle again. I feel more sorry for Primo, who looks like he's lost his chance of making it out of jobberdom. the WWE could bring up their cousin.

Nooo ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) !! I was really excited to see him and Primo back together again. Since it's his 1st strike, maybe they'll take him back in a few months. They were gonna take Umaga back and he refused rehab too, it depends if he gets the problem sorted out. I wish him all the best and hope to see him come back soon. Also, hes the first wrestler who's release made it onto the front page since Kurt Angle? That's odd.

While I'd love to hear Carlito do a Kennedy-style interview, I'd rather he keep his mouth shut and stay on good terms with WWE to have a chance at getting his job back.

From the way Carlito has spoken in interviews and the stories about his attitude backstage, I don't think he really wants to be or go back to WWE. That said I always liked Carlito and wished he would have put forth some effort to realize his full potential. Best of luck Carlito you really have nobody to blame but yourself on this one.

That's what it took to get him released? He's been on the chopping block for how long? About half of this decade? I mean, it seems like the WWE gave up on him a very long time ago. It's even worse if he really got fired because he refused to join the rehab program. Does his ego go before his will to earn some money? If the answers yes, then he probably received what he deserved.

It sucks, but as others have said, it does remind me a lot of what happened with Umaga.

After what happened with Umaga, I just don't see how anyone that WWE tells to go to rehab can think it's a good idea to refuse it.
I hope for the best for Carlito but, especially hope this does not cost Primo a job.

I could be totally wrong on this but I suspect Carlito was fed up with WWE creative and MGMT I don't see why Carlito's taste in music got him fired. ;D

I really hope he doesn't go to TNA. They wouldn't know how to use his talents. Hopefully he goes to ROH, or goes and works in his father's promotion in San Juan. I liked Carlito, but I'm not afraid to admit he made some big mistakes. Not going to Rehab is really a dumb thing to do, and getting fired over it is one of the consequences he has to face. I hope Primo doesn't get lost in the shuffle or worse, get fired. IMO, he should go to SD and find his way there.

He should have went to rehab.
Carlito is not a draw in the least. LOL@Carlito being a worker. This dude has some of the laziest ring routines in the business. Charisma? Whatever charisma you found respectable in dude was dead in the WWE by 2008. Perhaps it can be regained in a new setting like TNA or the like but he is of no real value right now. They refuse to push him in any direction and would rather waste time promoting Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, and The Miz.
On the real, When was the last time Carlito carried his own weight in a match? Some off brand tag team match against the Hart Dynasty? That's it?
Christian and Shelton were talents that were held down and disrespected and they don't need their younger siblings to bring out "fire" in them when they get all depressed.
Carlito was given a huge push in 2005...given another one in 2006 and they chose Jeff Hardy to push harder by the fall.....got another heel turn push where he beat Cena clean in 07...and he was basically nothing until Primo's second week in the E and they became tag team partners. That's why we've been talking about him this year. Because his brother helped enhance the same boring setting we usually see Carlito in. Sure...Carlito is a superior overall talent compared to most of the pushed midcarders on both shows but he's boring too. I would rather watch Burchill come back and get a real chance than to see Carlito blow it again.
