www.cinemaspy.com/Movie-News/New-Details-About-Disneys-Black-Hole-Remake/3994In short, I am excited. They are going to take the best parts of the classic film and fix the not so good parts (like the seriously messed up physics). That means this ship and this robot will still be in it. It would be sweet if they kept much of the original soundtrack as well as these themes rock hard: Even better, it might be in 3D. Imagine that coming at you in 3D.

So they're going to keep the "Hell" ending scene?

Oh, and apparently the following scene (the first minute or so of the following clip) was so iconic for a 70's Disney film that they will keep it in some form as well.

I approve of this remake - it is a lesser known movie, that somewhat missed the mark, and could benefit from the use of new special effects.
Actually, when I think films that could use a remake, Black Hole is up there near the top of the list.

So they're going to keep the "Hell" ending scene? Did you like that part? It was a bit confusing at the time for me, but I was only 6 or 7 when I first saw it. For those who do not know what we are talking about, here it is in all of its confusing glory: Trippy, ain't it? The funny part is that what you saw there was the toned down version of it all. They were going to have them emerge into nega-universe where the stars are sources of darkness and space itself is white.

but the real questin is .....
will ernest borgnine play the giant meteor which crashes into the ship and attempts to crush the escaping palomino crew as the ship begins it's epic journey into the black hole (ie the hollywood producers minds)
and NO, they won't make the "far too adult ending for a kiddy disney movie" ending .....
will be interested in seeing how they do this myself

The Nega-Universe stuff would have been crazy if they had been able to pull it off.
