They finally have something interesting going on with TBP with their possible break up and Velvet maybe turning face and they don't follow up on it. I'll give TNA the benefit of the doubt and guess there was a backstage segment or something in tomorrows taping that will air as part of Thursday's show.

Well, I guess they want the PPV to be all about ECW, so having a TNA wrestler in the ME wouldn't make much sense with that approach. Actually it would make sense because Abyss vs. RVD is something that has been building for a month now and IMO should be the main event for Hardcore Justice.

NEW NAME FOR FORMER ECW TALENTS IN TNA by Mike Johnson @ 10:58 PM on 7/26/2010
As of tonight's Impact taping, the former ECW talents are being referred to as "EV2.0" (Extreme Version 2.0). I am told the name was an Eric Bischoff suggestion. I don't think we'll be hearing any chants of "EV2" in the future, but that's just me.

That is laughably awful. "EV2.0" is seriously the best they can do?

Oh lord. I knew with the ECW stuff along with Hogan and Bischoff being back this had all the recipe for a train wreck. But this stuff is far worse than even I imagined. Just looking at these spoilers let's count the ways this show sucks:
--Orlando Jordan is back on the show. Ditto Eric Young, who TNA just won't take the hint with and STOP PUSHING. Oh, and now Young is bringing a mannequin to the ring?
--Check out the jobberific Fortune group! Let's review this logic, shall we: Flair announces he'll be jobbing to Lethal again next week, and that Beer Money are the others in his faction. Of course now that they are in Flair's group they have to start jobbing immediately, thus MCMG win the cage match. And Kazarian jobs to freakin Rob Terry in 30 seconds, bringing back his lame push. And Angle tells AJ that AJ will be jobbing to him shortly as well. What's the point of a Horsemen style heel faction if they are total jobbers?
--This whole Matt Morgan storyline is painful. A security guard is his partner now? I mean really? There's a certain continuity I suppose, but I would rather them forget about the whole Matt "Venom" Morgan angle.
--In other threads I have been baffled as to why they would build up RVD and Abyss in some sort of violent hardcore match, set up an ECW themed PPV...and then not do that match on the PPV. On the actual PPV we get the 1,929,585th meeting or RVD and Jerry Lynn (oh the suspense) and an actual new 1 on 1 matchup with some TV build is given away a few days later on free TV. Oh, and after reading these spoilers I'm not even sure if this match is even for the title, or if it's an unsanctioned, non title street fight.
Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the water Hogan and Bischoff return to TV and flush the solid recent Impact shows down the toilet. At least there doesn't seem to be any goofy Jarrett/Nash stuff on this show, and less Beautiful People garbage. But it's like they took out that crap and replaced it with even worse crap.

TNA needs to use "What What in the Butt" as OJ's theme music.

The spoilers on prowrestling.net say that during AJ's speech about the Global Title, he announces that it's now known as the TV Title. Didn't see that mentioned at all here

I disagree about TBP angle. This is actually the most interesting they have been in a while so I think it is silly for TNA not to have any follow up to it.

What part of it is interesting at all? Tara being the obvious mystery woman? Madison Rayne getting the belt back on a 2 week delayed Dusty Finish? Angelina Love being a 100% unsympathetic babyface that looks like a skank? I have no idea where Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich even fit into this storyline and I'm struggling to find a reason to care. End the pain.
The Knockouts division is a scorched earth. It's time to just blow it up and start over, maybe bring in Sara Del Rey and bring back Alissa Flash (which was mentioned in a rumor from the Observer).

The only people it appeals to now are hardcore TBP marks, and the ratings show it. Amazing how much damage can be done in six months...
