whats gonna happen when they call this faction "ECW" and Vince McMahon sends them a good old fashioned Cease and desist letter because he owns those initials collectively?

So they will be an NXT like stable, only with older, injured, and slower wrestlers?

I think the biggest complaint is that this can be done with the younger guys on the roster.

I disagree, I don't hear the chants for younger stars or the old wrestling organizations they came from like they do for ecw. Face it, there's still some blood left in the ECW era to be milked and TNA, like any business, is just doing what they think can get people talking. So far so good imo.

Yeah, I don't get the relentless negativity for this angle besides the fact that TNA is doing it. I'm always down for a good invasion storyline, and at least Bischoff is around to make sure it gets done right.

Yeah because when all was said and done the NWO invasion of WCW was done so well. Bischoff eventually had no idea what to do with that angle (see Starrcade 1997 and basically everything NWO related in 1998).
The big problem I have with this angle and these spoilers is how it basically tossed aside the whole top 10 system that TNA has done for the past few months. Why is Abyss supposed to be the #1 contender when he lost clean to Jeff Hardy?
Of course on that note why is anyone losing clean to Jeff Hardy, when Jeff could end up in prison?

Honestly, TNA could book Jesus flying down on a dinosaur shooting lasers and there would still be complaints. Like Jesus is old. Or they could have saved the dinosaur for a PPV match. But TNA looks a lot better now. Unfortunately it will take many here about 6 months to realize this.

Imagine if TNA did a angle where 7 no-name rookies from a B show took over the company and beat the hell out of the champion and anyone in proximity. Imagine the hate and ridicule they'd be getting.

My issue with this is its being done with guys that really arent relevent any more. If they weren't relevant they wouldn't have gotten pops from the crowd. The only thing that makes someone irrelevant is not being on TV. A good angle can make anyone, no matter how old or young, a star. I have no problem giving these guys a major angle. They are all seasoned veterans and all understand how to build an angle and how to work matches when needed. If used correctly, this angle can evolve into a tremendous feud for TNA, and if used properly can eventually give nice pushes to younger wrestlers who may be brought into the feud. Either way, glad to see these guys get some TV time.

I have negativity for this angle for the same reason I had negativity to when the WWE tried to bring back ECW years ago - ECW IS DEAD. Its been dead for years. The pro wrestling industry in general should be looking to its future, not waxing nostalgic over its past.

The biggest problem that TNA would have from this is: What if the ECW wrestlers get the big pop and the TNA guys are booed? That would kill off the angle real quick.

Are you saying that people who used to work for ECW can no long work in a ring anywhere?

With or without Heyman someone within TNA is doing the inside job. Its time for Bischoff to turn heel. If Heyman joins then they could say they masterminded this entire invasion.
Hogan and Dixie are betrayed. Dixie now realizes the jam she is in and has to turn to the person who was right all along, Sting.
If you remember Hogan and Bischoff pushed for Sting to be suspended and Dixie didn't want to but was talked in to it. When she informs Sting, He was about reveal something until Bischoff interupted right quick and cut him off.
This is a long shot and probably won't happen. Just throwing it out there.
