Danielson: Daniel Bryan, he may be gone. Bryan Danielson he may not be around anymore, but I don't think you've seen the last of Baron Von Funkenstein. I was hoping he would come back as the American Dolphin but I'm hearing the vuvuzelas will be banned in the World Cup.

I got a phone call from a buddy I went to broadcasting school with about an hour ago. he is currently working as an intern with WWE production. Apparently, the Danielson firing is legit. Bryan was outside smoking a cigarette with Randy Orton after RAW went off the air Monday night. When he was finished, he tossed his cigarette on the ground, and it rolled into a pile of oily rags from one of the production trucks. It started a fire and the entire trailer burnt down. At first it was no big deal, and seen as just an accident. By Thursday afternoon, it was realized that inside the trailer was long lost footage of Vince's dad and grandfather. Obviously, Vince and the rest of the McMahon family (HHH included) were extremely upset that the footage was lost. The plan was to use the footage at the next time they were in NYC at MSG. After a day full of internal debates on what to do with Danielson, and to a lesser extent Orton, it was determined that Danielson had to be let go. Orton is on an extremely slippery slope right now as well since Vince hates smoking, and it is believed that he got Danielson, previously a non smoker to start. The word is that the tiniest misstep by Orton, and he's gone too. I don't like this story. It's stupid enough not to be true, but not stupid enough to be stupid entertaining crap. I don't know, throw in a wild boar attack or the illuminati or TNA's latest big surprise and you might have something.

If its not a work then they definitely want to keep you guessing even if it is legit. Can't blame Vince and the WWE to want to keep the "Internet" fans guessing.

Or they don't consider it a big enough deal to remove a superstar bio less then 48 hours after his announced release. Like I said in the original thread that opened up about this, the WWE doesn't have a magic button somewhere to press that can instantly remove all reference to a specific wrestler the second they fire him.

Plus, why remove it at all until the heat dies down. They are probably getting a decent amount of traffic of people checking to see if they say anything. Bryan isn't commenting, WWE isn't commenting, the wrestling world is in a whirlwind of emotion. Might as well milk it for all it's worth.

Bryan's profile STILL being up is odd. In the past wrestler profiles even for controversial releases like Mickie were removed not too long after the news was announced.
I'm still thinking [or maybe just hoping against hope] it's work.

The only part of this that makes me think this is still a work is the fact that Danielson isn't commenting about it at all. Usually when someone gets canned they will make some statement about it. That being said, my guess is he was legit let go, but told that once any backlash dies down from sponsors they will bring him back.
Of course, until something is said by Danielson himself or we watch Raw tomorrow, we won't truly know what is really going on.

The fact that the firing news release links to it is kind of odd, though.

Oh hey look, they removed the pic of Danielson choking Roberts in the Cena vs. Punk section of the Raw Photos. This may be legit; I can't stop changing my mind. Meanwhile, THIS picture is still up. WARNING: VERY GRAPHIC {Spoiler}

Don't you think CP Munk is enough? its not CHIKARA. he was "American Dolphin" Bryan Danielson when he was teaming with Paul London as the Hybrid Dolphins in PWG and CP Munk was awesome, especially when he teamed with Colt Cabunny

Did Mattel really come out and say they weren't pleased with the choking? Where are people getting that from?

Wow, people still think this is a work?
Geez, it really is still real to some people, dammit.
