I got a phone call from a buddy I went to broadcasting school with about an hour ago. he is currently working as an intern with WWE production. Apparently, the Danielson firing is legit. Bryan was outside smoking a cigarette with Randy Orton after RAW went off the air Monday night. When he was finished, he tossed his cigarette on the ground, and it rolled into a pile of oily rags from one of the production trucks. It started a fire and the entire trailer burnt down. At first it was no big deal, and seen as just an accident. By Thursday afternoon, it was realized that inside the trailer was long lost footage of Vince's dad and grandfather. Obviously, Vince and the rest of the McMahon family (HHH included) were extremely upset that the footage was lost. The plan was to use the footage at the next time they were in NYC at MSG. After a day full of internal debates on what to do with Danielson, and to a lesser extent Orton, it was determined that Danielson had to be let go. Orton is on an extremely slippery slope right now as well since Vince hates smoking, and it is believed that he got Danielson, previously a non smoker to start. The word is that the tiniest misstep by Orton, and he's gone too. I don't like this story. It's stupid enough not to be true, but not stupid enough to be stupid entertaining crap. I don't know, throw in a wild boar attack or the illuminati or TNA's latest big surprise and you might have something. No, whats its missing is CM Punk giving an anti-smoking tirade to the management that not only convinced them to can Danielson but to add cigarettes to the Wellness Policy.

An update on Daniel Bryan's firing: it was due to pressure from an outside source following Monday night's angle. The choking with the tie and spitting in John Cena's face were the two main sticking points, and Vince McMahon is said to have had no choice. It is almost a guarantee that this is not a work, since that would mean WWE had lied to everyone with any power in WWE. They have all been told that Daniel Bryan is gone for real.
It seems very clear that Bryan is being used as a scapegoat. It also appears to me that someone from the outside (not WWE management) was the one who threw a fit and WWE had no choice but to fire him for now.
To recap, here are the key bullet points:
The Justin Roberts spot was deemed too violent and it led to the firing, in a call made by Vince, but forced upon him by an "outside force who is important"
Complaints came in very quickly.
The decision was explained to the merchandise and marketing people, PR team, company doctor before it was announced that it was a legit firing.
The person who complained was someone from the "outside, important to the company"
Danielson is being called a "scapegoat"
No timetable has been given, but he was said to be left with the impression that he would be welcomed back at a later time once things pass over.
Danielson is now looking for indy dates.
Danielson has a 90 day no-compete clause.
With respect to the possibility of Vince working his own employees, he's definitely capable of it, and a much more "insane" situation is currently going on with a much bigger name than Danielson in WWE right now.
Sources in WWE believe they will lose him to TNA, Once source said they just "made a TNA main eventer"

Also if true you'd think they wouldn't travel which such footage in a trailer and instead keep it in the vaults at titan tower. That's what makes it so unbelievable. Oily Rags + Orton = LULZ story.

You know what I think would be plausable
He ran naked through the Diva Locker room, and then knocked down pregnant Steph.

TNA is the only other real competitor, and as hot as Danielson was when WWE fired him, you'd got to think that they would make a play for him. Honestly, I don't see him going there, but I could be proven wrong in 90 days.

Some IWC members are having pipe dreams that somehow AJ Stylez and Samoa Joe quit TNA, and in 90 days we see them and Danielson back in ROH.

I think we should bombard WWE with hate mail. Try to make life at WWE HQ miserable. And I do not mean anything like the guy in my avatar.

Or you can send them nice respectable letters that the WWE could pass on to the sponsor causing them trouble to try to convince the sponsor to calm down and work things out.

Hope Bryan doesn't burn his bridges with the WWE and go to TNA. If they've made it clear he is going to be welcome back in a few months, then hopefully he just does his indy dates, has a nice little 'welcome home' run and goes back with even more intrigue and buzz around him than when he left. Going to TNA would be a good short-term move for him, but he was on the cusp of something big and can still achieve it if he wants.
I understand why Vince had to let him go, but seriously, whoever made the complaint is such a douche. I'd love to have a major angle not be ruined by something outside of WWE's control...just once. I thought this one was perfect. It didn't involve death, so didn't have to stop at any sign of that. It didn't involve just one particular guy, so any one suspension wouldn't have had to de-rail the angle. It was all set to go smoothly, then someone decides to complain that spitting and choking aren't allowed, even though we've seen it before in PG WWE.

Probably would get lost in the shuffle of the dozen or so Eric Bischoff sends them everyday.

Sources in WWE believe they will lose him to TNA, Once source said they just "made a TNA main eventer" that's the only way the situation could get any worse, he goes to TNA and has a feud with Abyss's teddy bear or something, and then somehow winds up being Ric Flair's butler, which is then dropped altogether without explanation.

Jim Ross's comments are very iffy to me. He says at the end that there may be more to this than we know or need to know at this time.
By the way I know I've posted on the topic quite a bit but it doesn't bother me that he's gone. If the reason is true then that bothers and annoys me.
I do find it funny how during NXT there were quite a few people who wanted him to leave the E since it seemed like they were doing nothing with him....now people are upset...

I don't believe Meltzer's story for a second. I'm not saying it's a work. It all comes down to Meltzer and Alvarez. You don't go from "I am 100% certain it's a work" to "it's a giant mess involving not only Danielson, but some unnamed 'outside force' and the freaking Undertaker" without killing your credibility.
