Feels like this topic came up a few days ago.... Lashley had a lot of strengths (his size and look and his athletic background) but he has weaknesses (promos and personality). WWE did pretty well with him while they had him. I still don't know exactly what the issue between them was that led him to getting a full release without any limitations on what he could do. Good luck with your fight tonight, Lashley. It was, I made it, haha.

Couldn't stand him. No charisma, no personality and no worthwhile matches to speak of. Christ, at the peak of Vince shoving him down my throat on every other minute of WWE programming I would have loved someone to drop a boat on the big lug.

Hey a Bobby Lashley thread.
Ahh Bobby Lashley. The infamous big galoot that had the right look/muscle, but also had just about every natural anti-get over trait that makes fans laugh or cringe.
NO one created a character called Bobby Lashley. Not all all. Usually WWE has a wrestler in a stupid gimmick first and then people cease to take them seriously. This was not the case with Bobby Lashley. He wasn't dressed like a rooster, put in a suit with pubes on it, or dressed like Santa. No the worst gimmick Bobby Lashley ever portrayed was Bobby Lashley.

As a silent killer heel a la Awesome Kong, he would have been over like gangbusters. Stupidly, they decided to push the "soft-spoken" aspect, and that doesn't fly in the flamboyant world of wrestling.

We needed Hulk to drop the big leg and send him back to his home planet.

The man was a black hole of charisma. His voice made Dave Stewart and David Beckham's sound threatening. He had a great look and was passable in the ring, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over him. Pretty much. Of course, a manager would have helped with that but god forbid WWE has those (or heel announcers) any more.

Yeah WWE really f***ed up, 'cause Lashley has proven himself outside of WWE how much untapped potential he had.

They obviously didn't push him hard enough.
He needed to be on more shows, hold more belts, and go over more people.

If you saw the the Lashley man work out many of you on the board wouldn't be as confident with your opinions....you know said to his face. I'm alittle bugged by it. I think Bobby's a friendly down-to-earth guy. I was abit worried meeting the guy thinking he could be a cocky over bearing jock but I found he was/is the complete opposite of that. He's good company.
Oh well boards are for expressing yourself so everybody has an opinion everybody has an ******* as the saying goes.

He didn't have charisma, he couldn't talk, didn't have a very good presence. He was an average talent. I am sure he is a very nice guy, doesn't mean I want to see him on my TV screen.

Bobby had all the tools and still does. I hope to see him back in a WWE ring one day.
