I dunno, Cera gets a bit of grace because he was in Scott Pilgrim. LaBoeuf was in no movie that I've ever enjoyed. So yeah.

I find it funny that Arrested Development was so well liked, but Michael Cera isn't.
For me, it's the opposite. Cera's alright, never saw what the big deal with AD was.

I wouldn't. Two bitches don't make a good cop team. You've obviously never watched any of the Busty Cops movies ... I was gonna say something, but I don't know if it was over the limit or not, so in closing: yes I have, and I'd rather have the females "bust" cases over the two fairies who would get it in the can in prisons.

I don't mind Shia, I think he is pretty talented. Michael Cera on the other hand... Exactly this. I've only seen Cera in one movie, but I wasn't exactly jumping at the chance to watch anything else he was in.

What type of cop movie would it be with two guys that could still pass for being in their teens? 21 Jump Street? Actually that sounds awesome.

Replace Cera with his slightly less annoying clone Jesse Eisenberg and it might work out.

Funny, I'm on the opposite end of your opinion. I couldn't agree more with Scott. I couldn't agree more with Jim. I'd give it a shot actually, but I'm not paying for it. I agree that Jesse Eisenberg would be so much more enjoyable. You know what, give me James Franco and Jason Segel in a buddy cop film. I'll watch the shit out of that. Throw in Paul Rudd as the villain, and Seth Rogen as a pot dealer while you're at it. Just keep Apatow the hell away.

Well, the thing is, Cera WAS liked on Arrested Development, but he never grew out of that role. He still does the same awkward, stuttering nerd in everything that he did in Arrested Development. He's shown no growth as an actor. As for LaBeouf, I don't like or hate him. I nothing him. Well, except for the new Indiana Jones flick. He sucked hard in that.

NO, NO and again NO
I have nothing against Cera (I liked Scott Pilgrim) but Shia Labouf would stop me watching a Bond Movie if he was ever in one, That's how much I hate him.

Yeah. And I say that without any irony, maybe just out of sheer curiousity. I really don't get the massive hatred these two receive. I don't see anything wrong with their acting per se, so is it just alleged "overexposure"? Same. I think they're both pretty damn talented, and I have NO idea why they're hated so much.

I think the Cera hate stems from the fact that apparently he plays the same character in his movies (the "awkward geeky kid"). Honestly, I don't understand and don't even have that much hatred for the guy.

Honestly, I don't understand and don't even have that much hatred for the guy. In that sense, I can see folks having an issue with him. As for the LaBeouf backlash, that just leaves me scratching my head. I loved him in A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints and Disturbia, so is all this just based on the roles opposite the title characters he played in the Transformers series and Crystal Skull (which I haven't seen)?

I agree with this post whole-heartedly. Cera was great on AD as the quiet awkward kid surrounded by a band of outright lunatics. When you make 15 movies where the same kid is going through the same motions in far less interesting situations, it gets old real quick.

Well I guess Shia hasn't crapped on enough things. He won't be satisfied until he has poisoned every genre and movie franchise.(watches Lucas rush over to sign shia for something star wars related)
