Space Ghost Coast 2 Coast's 'Pavement' is great all around. As well as "Flipmode", "Idlewild South", "Kentucky Nightmare" and "King Dead" (UNREASONABLE DEMANDS!). Damn did that show kick ass.

'Pavement' is still the best. Space Ghost as writer brought us: -Hilariously poor grammar -Interviews that last about 30 seconds -Blatent pandering by Space Ghost -"The Beatles", actually the lo-fi band Pavement -The entirety of Space Ghost of the Cosmos Calling -"Welcome back, stupid viewers. You'll watch anything! Go ahead, change the channel, you'll be back!" -The Great Gazoo shows up in a cameo -Fidor's "attack" of Jupiter

Bambi - The Young Ones Awesome Funny Episode. It also has appearances by Hugh Laurie, Emma Thompson and Stephen Fry before they were famous. Oh and Motorhead, don't forget Motorhead Also in the episode is a pre Baldrick performer Tony Robinson and a pre Hagrid performer Robbie Coltrane.

I just wanted to throw in my two cents by saying this is a great thread idea.
I honestly cannot top some of the ones already mentioned.
My vote from the stuff that remains is Twin Peaks pilot episode.
Recently speaking, I'm not going to lie: I watched The Walking Dead pilot 4 times.
Guilty pleasure-wise: "The Breakfast Club" episode of Dawson's Creek ALWAYS comes back to me.
Non-specialized episode from a series: the episode from M*A*S*H where the wounded just keep coming and coming, and Sydney Freedman has come for a poker game, but they eventually even have to employ Freedman to scrub up and help perform surgery .............. also, the episode where supplies have been cut so much that people have to start sharing bunks to conserve energy, and Henry's desk is one of the victims--that's hilarious stuff right there!

"Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants"-South Park. Much needed comic relief in the midst of 9/11 and it still came across as patriotic imo.

Also, the "Mortos Der Soulstealer/Zim Eats Waffles" episode of Invader Zim never fails to amuse me.

Transformers: Beast Wars - Code of Hero.
Anyone who says a Transformers show can't be moving and well written is a liar.

Oh and Motorhead, don't forget Motorhead Also in the episode is a pre Baldrick performer Tony Robinson and a pre Hagrid performer Robbie Coltrane. i was going to say that one originally and went with mother simpson. that episode is so fully of win and my favorite episode of the young ones. i was also toying around with the "lent" episode of father ted as i grew up catholic and i get every joke about that time of the catholic calender.

Blink from Doctor Who is, in my opinion, the best episode of television of all time. Seconded. The greatest time travelling story I have ever seen. I also want to nominate "Out of Gas" from "Firefly", with the flashbacks showing how Mal assembled the crew. Damn good show.

"Through the Looking Glass" from "Lost". Unbelievable episode (yes I count it as one episode), from start to finish it was flawless. The emotions it evoked, the shock of the twist ending, the pay-offs to season long arcs, just everything about it was perfect.

Honestly, I'd have to go with "The Body" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
It's so out of place with the other epsiodes of Buffy and it's just so damn real. From when Buffy finds Joyce to Anya's breakdown....just damn is it powerful.
Honorable mention goes to South Park's "200/201" (its a two-parter, so I personally count it as 1 solid episode). It has so many throw back jokes that is amazing for long time fans of the show.

There's so many great ones, including the I Love Lucy one which I still love watching even though I wasn't born when it aired. Having to pick one, particularly one that hasn't been mentioned, I'm going to have to go with the MASH finale. The ending of that show was beautiful. However, I'd have to give an honorable mention to My Lunch from Scrubs. The ending scene of it was among the best things I've ever seen on TV. Legit just cried watching that youtube clip. Gets me every single time.

Gun to my head: "Itchy and Scratchy and Marge", but its a tough call over MST3K's airing of "Manos" and "Return to Spider Skull Island" from Venture Brothers. The Sopranos ep "Whoever Did This" is awesome too.

Off the top of my head, I will honestly have to say Grilled Cheesus from Glee. I honestly couldn't turn away from beginning to end
