I guess I'm culturally negligent or something but is this 4'33 just a silence? Or has it finally happened and I've gone insane.
I don't get it, was this like a historical event or something with four minutes of silence? Some one want to help me out here? lol

It's all silence. 4'33" is the time indicated on the sheet music.

Pfft, I was mainly behind the Bird is the Word campaign. It was quite disgusting really, Matt sold less than Joe did last year, which meant pretty much that if half the members of the Bird is the Word group actually bought the single that it would easily win. Out of over 600,000 members less than 300,000 bought it, some protest indeed.
The Rage Factor will never happen again, this time around there were too many divisions amongst the protest campaignS (plural, another reason for the success of the X Factor this year) to make any sort of decent push. The idea has already become oversaturated.
In a related rant, the next winner of Simon Cowell's X Factor should release a cover of 4'33 as their Christmas single. I am guaranteed that the masses will lap it right up.
Oh and one more thing, I had a little chuckle on a Sky Music Channel's programme, it went through all the Christmas numbers 1s from 1970...to 2008. It's easy to skirt around at the moment, Rage was only a year ago after all, but fast forward a couple of years, will these sorts of programmes just totally "Benoit" 2009's number 1 for all eternity?

Booooo. I came in here to see or hear about Johnny Cage decapitations and signing autographs for people. I am disappointed. I thought that this was about Mortal Kombat's Johnny Cage. Johnny Cage's not afraid to die!!!!!!!!!!!!

which meant pretty much that if half the members of the Bird is the Word group actually bought the single that it would easily win. Out of over 600,000 members less than 300,000 bought it, some protest indeed. Matt Cardle's song sold 439,000 copies. So had half the group actually bought it, then it still wouldn't have got the #1. The fact that the song that made #2 sold only just over 100,000 copies means a really small portion of Group members actually went out and bought it. In other words, a load of people joined the group to try and look cool.
