I was just thinking about this the other day but, the Bulldog/HBK feud was pretty one sided.
Let's see Michaels beat Bulldog for his 1st IC title. Years later Michaels makes Bulldog look like a fool at the '95 Rumble by throwing him out after he thought he won it.
Then when the heel/face roles are switched they have two ppv matches for Michaels WWF belt and Bulldog can't get the win over him.
Then in '97 HBK with Steve Austin take the belts off of Bulldog and Owen. But, of course, the worst was when HBK made Smith his bitch in front of his dying sister and beat him for the Euro belt at One Night Only.
As a big Bulldog fan weather he was heel or face the fact that Michaels kept getting one over on him was one of the main reasons why I was never a fan of his for a long time. In fact I don't think Smith has a pinfall over him.
So what are your thoughts?

Shawn gets a lot of hate for his Kliq days, and man did he deserve it over how he threw a fit and refused to have Davey Boy win in his country and in front of his sister who died. Shawn at that time refused to even cooperate with guys not even sell for them or make them look good on the mic or in the ring. He was nearly impossible to work with. I'm pretty sure the post match tribute to Smith's sister (Which knowing his ego at the time probably wasn't suppose to happen) made the Bulldog want to get a hold of him backstage and wring his neck.

Jim Cornette told a hilarious story from this feud at the Fanfest. I probably won't get it 100%, but it was something like this:
He was filming one of the studio segments with someone, and they were expecting a call, so they had this bright red phone sitting out where everyone would have to notice it. To Jim's surprise, it actually rings. The other guy answers, and tells Jim it's Stu Hart, and that he wants to talk to him. Jim thinks, "Oh, sure it is," and takes the phone.
"Ehhh...Ehh...This, this thing with Diana, it...it kinda makes her look like a f***in' whore!"
Jim remembers that Bruce Pritchard does a great Stu Hart imitation, so he figures it's Bruce. Jim says something back, I think still basically playing into the angle.
"Ehh...Yeah...Yeah...but, it kinda makes her look like a f***in' whore!"
Jim says, "Well, Stu, I agree with you, and I'm betting it's that Bruce Pritchard behind it. Everybody knows he's a pervert, this is the kind of thing he would think is funny. If I were you, I'd have to say something to him about it!"
Stu seems to pretty much agree and hangs up. Almost as soon as he does, Bruce Pritchard walks onto the set. Jim heads the direction Bruce just came from, but there's no phones. Then he spots Owen and Davey laughing.
Apparently, Owen had actually gotten Stu to call and raise hell about his daughter looking like a "f***in' whore!"

It's weird but I like when there is a feud and one guy never can the win. I don't think Austin ever did get a win over Bret Hart. I did hate Eddie Guerrero not being able to beat Rey Mysterio in 2005 though.

I did hate Eddie Guerrero not being able to beat Rey Mysterio in 2005 though. Me too. It's like how Tommy Dreamer only beat Raven once, and that was the end of the feud. By the end, Dreamer was like 1-1000 vs. Raven ... but that one win was so sweet!

Im glad I'm not the only one who thought that the HBK/Bulldog feud was one sided. Whether Davey was heel or face, HBK was always like 2 steps ahead of him. But the way he and HHH conned Vince into having him go over Bulldog in his home country was pretty f***ed up. HBK just continued to assault the Bulldog and The Harts were told to remain backstage. I believe Bret in his book said this made them look like pussies.
Bulldog deserved at least one clean win over HBK.

Bulldog and Owen must have been legendary pranksters.

All this mentioned and the fact that the ending to their match in Beware Of The Dog was bloody stupid. Michaels pins Bulldog clean in the ring with a German Suplex... And the referee in the ring who's seen the move clearly awards the march to Bulldog? What was going on there?
*Sigh.* Davey was to Michaels as Booker was to Hunter.

The funny thing is one of Bulldog's shoulders lifted off the mat(intentionally or not)before the 3.

I was a young kid who still believed... so I was really mad.

In my opinion, Davey Boy was Shawn Michaels' best opponent and vice versa. Yes, even better than Bret Hart.
Their matches on SNME for the IC championship and on "One Night Only" for the Euro belt were CLASSICS!

I hated when Davey got knocked out of the ring by shawn at the 95 Rumble. It was unfair and the match should have been restarted just with those two guys fighting it out at the end.Daveys theme was playing which didnt help.I actually felt disgusted when Shawn went over Davey in England,as a kid i was genuinley upset by it.Ill always be a Bulldog mark more then a Michaels one though so perhaps im a bit biased.

I always wondered had The Bulldogs stuck around in 1989, turned heel, and feuded with The Rockers, wonder who would've won that feud

I was at One Night Only. I was maybe about 9 years old and a huge HBK mark. I just remember being really happy that Shawn won and then wondering why everybody else was close to starting a riot. The fans were not happy at all.

why is it such a big thing that foreign guys "shouldn't have to lose in their country?" American wrestlers lose all the time in the States.

Along those lines, did Savage ever get a clean win over Hogan?

why is it such a big thing that foreign guys "shouldn't have to lose in their country?" American wrestlers lose all the time in the States. It's more that Bulldog was originally scheduled to win so he dedicated the match to his dying sister who was gonna be at ringside. Shawn, from what I've read, pulled out the "let's build for a big rematch" card (i.e.: he gets the first win so Bulldog can get his revenge & title back on the next British PPV). Of course, that was bullcrap as Shawn wasn't putting ANYONE over. He was at the height of his prick-ness...

Sure, many guys lose in the US, but it seems different if Bulldog loses in England or if Bret loses in Canada. I can understand if someone loses in his/her hometown, but home country? That kind of pushes it.

I guess because it's a huge deal for a foreigner to make it big in the US in anything. Much less a sport seen around the globe. And, as a whole, there are more US born wrestlers in WWE than not. If you are from the US and lose in the US....not a big deal. If you are from Ireland and make it in WWE and lose in Ireland...it's a big deal.

This, I mean, people will have come from far and wide to see the English guy who made it. With American wrestlers, it's more the home town, and you can always see it visably bum the crowd out, like how whenever they were in Oklahoma SOMETHING bad was gonna happen to JR and pretty much kill the crowd for a while.
