SSooooo, I just spent $30 to rent Black Ops...this game better kick ass lol
Actually, all it was was the store's been having people return games really really late if at all, so theres a $20 deposit for new members on new game releases. Knew I should have rented it at my home store.

Deposit? I've never heard of a store doing that. Don't they usually just take your credit card number and charge you if you don't return it?

I've never heard of it either, and was like WTH when she told me about it, but I got it anyway because I figured it'd be out by the time I got to the store in my town.

Man, I forgot how much I hated missed the ninja knifers and magic bullets of Call of Duty's online mode.
I mean, one time last night I full on stabbed a guy, I mean I saw the animation of my melee knife piercing through his flesh, yet he didn't die and next thing I know, I'm dead because he stabbed me. On the killcam, from his point of view, I missed me stab. Somehow.
And then there was the time I played One in the Chamber and shot at a guy's torso(the biggest area on the body, thus harder to miss), this guy's ENTIRE BODY was perfectly in the iron sights of my pistol, I pulled the trigger, and he didn't die. He turns and shoots me, and of course I die. On the killcam, again, it showed I missed.
And then there are the countless times where I put several, aimed bursts of fire into someone, all over their body, from their head to their feet, and they only have to pull the trigger once or twice to kill me.
I do love Sticks and Stones, though. That is a mode where this bullcrap doesn't really happen, because it is hard to happen. You have a ballistic knife and exploding crossbow with limited ammo and one tomahawk axe to throw. In other words, everyone is on an equal ground, equipment wise.

Beat Mass Effect 2. I'm kind of torn. In some ways it's an epic improvement in others it's missing something that made the first great. I can't put my finger on it.
Bioshock 2 was great all around but the story seemed like the lowest common denominator. Was this really the best story they could come up with to revisit Rapture? I liked it, it just didn't add anything to the history for me.
I'm having loads of fun with the multiplayer though, if anyone want's to play that'd be awesome.

Does anyone know if the hard drive transfer cable and disc for when you change HDs still work after one use, cause I was thinking of putting them on eBay, cause I don't really need them anymore. Not sure if they were 1 time use, and if I should just toss them out instead, or for repeat use and they can still work for someone else.

Okay, I'm angry now.
As you may have seen in the thread I started today, I picked up a used copy of Oblivion today.
And it's crashed at least FIVE TIMES so far. Weird thing is, it only happens whenever I do something new. (It crashed when I exited the menu for picking Birthsign and picking Class, and the remaining 3 were when I attempted to start random conversations.)
Every time it tells me "Disc is unreadable", except it loads just fine.
So anybody have any ideas how I can fix this, or should I just go back to Gamestop and pick up another copy tomorrow?

Question.
Can I use an Elite's 250gb hard drive in the 4gb slim model? I'm trying to find the best deal on a hard drive and if I can just use an older one I'm not shelling out over a $100 if I don't have to.

I seem to be having this trouble with NCAA Football. It plays fine for a while, but then for no reason, it says "Disc is unreadable" and it pisses me off.

If you mean a hard drive from the pre-Xbox 360 Slim models, then no. The Xbox 360 Slims have their OWN proprietary hard drives. They have this tiny little brick thing that you shove into the opposite side from where you put the hard drive on the older models. That side where you'd put the hard drive on the older models is now just one giant ass vent. So yeah, MS is dicking us a bit.

I've heard of some serious glitches on Oblivion. I ran into a few freezes with my version (although I got a brand new copy.) The number one thing I'd recommend is copying the game to your HD if you haven't. There's other issues that I hear can be fixed by cleaning your system cache, but that's a bit of a hassle since it means every patch you've ever installed needs to be redone. So I'd recommend trying to replace the copy between those two steps.

So I picked up Black Ops and a 2100 MS Points card for £42 from Tesco, I think that was the best launch deal.
Only played MP so far, and while I'm enjoying it, I am really suffering without Stopping Power.

I'm confused. Time Warner is now on the list for ESPN on Xbox, but I still cant watch anything live. Is there something special I need to do?
Edit: Just read online that apparently they're still working on the ESPN3 aspect of it and it may not be available till the end of the year.

Since I'm guessing it isn't the endless driving of the Mako over large boulders, I'm going with it becoming tilted more towards shooter than RPG. It doesn't feel like there is as much customization. I really wish there was more of the Citadel available to explore as well - it is frustrating to have the hub of the whole galaxy available and only be able to go into one man's office. Also, no Wrex.

I'm using a 4gb Sandisk for saves and I'm looking into getting a generic one (Amazon has them for way cheaper) for my Rock Band stuff.

For the guy having problems with Oblivion, when the game launches, try holding down the A button until the Zenimax logo comes up. I'm pretty sure that clears the temporary cache for the game. It's helped me out a lot, and doesn't reset your DLC or anything. I have to do the same for the Fallout games from time to time.
And I'm loving Black Ops right now. Maybe it's because it just came out, but the multiplayer actually seems pretty balanced and really fun.

Wrex is there for a sweet cameo. He just isn't a playable character. Grunt is awesome though.

I love this time in new multiplayer games like Black Ops... too new for people to just be bitching over Live... everyone is trying to learn the system along with you, and everyone is so helpful. Have yet to encounter one room with a bad group of people. I love it.
