I did, too. Silly, quirky movie before silly, quirky movies were saturating the market.

I liked Napoleon Dynamite. As did I. And for the record,I don't think all of Judd Apatow's movies are unfunny. I liked The Cable Guy, Anchorman and Talladega Nights. I also liked Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared.

District 9 - AWFUL movie
Scarface - I don't mind cussing in movies at all, but there is a limit, and saying "motherf***er" and "f***" just for the hell of it every other word is my limit.

This is more because I don't like them than the appeal going over my head, but any recent Will Ferrell or Steve Carrell movies. The fact that they basically play the same role in every film is very tiring. In particular though, I'll go with Step-Brothers. Basically everyone I know thinks it's hilarious, but I think it's horrible.
Also, I enjoyed Napoleon Dynamite as well. It's not great, but it's okay.

'Waitress'-- it is a male-hating price of crap. the only reason i stayed through the whole thing is because i was in the air force and there was nothing else to do on base.
but after my mom and sister raved about how great it was, it made the feeling that much worse.

That was a Steve Carrell movie that he wasn't just playing Michael Scott in.

The Boondock Saints series. Duffy's ode to his ego and machismo in which two brothers become "vigilantes" to wipe out the mobsters in Boston. I'll never understand the cult following this series has earned. It's trash. The first movie was...okay. The second movie had it's moments but was pretty much garbage until the very end. Much like you, I can't stand Troy Duffy so I'm inclined to agree. It was pretty wanky writing.

The popularity of the Kick-Ass film eludes me. Comic-book had spotty quality but a logical 'superheroes don't work in the real world' message. Film went from a parody to 'OMG SUPERHEROES ARE AWESOME...' and yet gets praised? I absolutely loved that film. I dunno why, part concept, part execution. Not often that i thoroughly enjoy something like i did kick ass. Scott Pilgrim too, just loved it. Im with the Napoleon Dynamite as well and Donny Darko, just what was the point, both just flew past me and couldn't care less?

Fight Club I can't remember seeing such a boring film. Don't get the hype at all. For a while this was me. I remember renting it shortly after it was released on dvd. Made it about 20 minutes in and turned it off. Came back to it a few years later and loved it. As for me I would have to say Harold and Kumar. Caught it on tv a few weeks back so I decided to watch the whole thing. Didn't laugh once. I don't even think I chuckled at all. *edit* How could I forget Scarface? I guess not going into a Spencers store helped quite a bit.

Twilight
Avatar (the one with the blue people)
The Notebook
Iron Man (ugh)
EDIT: Oh, and agreeing with whoever said Inception! I liked the movie, but everyone went absolutely NUTS over it, and I just... I dunno. It was good, but I didn't think it was fantastic, and I did think it dragged on a bit. I only saw it because I'm a Cillian Murphy fan, otherwise- I'm honestly not sure I would've gone to see it.
