Even the best offense gets tired with a lousy and undisciplined defense (like we had) making them have to come from behind all the time. LOL WUT? Dude, the reason our DEFENSE was so lousy and run down is because our offense couldn't stay on the field more than 3 minutes. Hell there was a game we had negative passing yards by half time. Oh I agree our offense sucks, but the Chiefs years ago and the Colts for a while (when they began their playoff streak) showed us that you can have the best offense in town and a lousy defense can still screw you. So we need more than a great QB.

The Broncos are reportedly reaching out to Jim Harbaugh in hopes of setting up an interview for the head coaching job.
Stanford also met with Harbaugh Thursday morning in a last-ditch effort to keep him from the NFL. Two candidates already on the Broncos' list, Giants DC Perry Fewell and interim Denver coach Eric Studesville, are scheduled to interview on Sunday.
Owner Jerry Jones revealed Thursday that he fielded calls from other teams wanting to interview Jason Garrett for head coaching jobs.

To be honest, if Chad played this year like he did in the Indy game (i.e., the only Bengals game I watched this year), then that is a smart move. He played balls out in that game despite getting hurt fairly badly. Now, if they make an offer to T.O., THEN I will join you and saying that the front office might as well leave steaming piles on everyone's front porch.

Cardinals fired defensive coordinator Bill Davis.
The Vikings will reportedly meet with former Broncos coach Josh McDaniels on Friday to interview for the offensive coordinator position.

Luck cost himself millions of dollars. I don't care if his dad has a ton of money, if there is a rookie slotting system next year he's f***ed. But you say that as though he's oblivious to this fact and didn't know. He knows, and made this decision anyway. Maybe he isn't Latrell Spreewell and doesn't need 150 million dollars to feed his family. His daddy may be rich but he's not $60 million guaranteed rich. I'm just trying to point out that he may have cost himself a ton of money all because he wanted to go back to school. Look at what happened with Leinart. He was the consensus top pick one year, went back to school because he liked the "college experience" and he dropped from 1 to 10, costing himself like $24 million in the process, and he's NEVER going to get that back b/c he's a bust.

According to the San Jose Mercury News' Tim Kawakami, Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh "isn't sold" on the situation in Miami with the Dolphins.
ESPN's John Clayton reports the Vikings will interview former 49ers head coach Mike Singletary for the linebackers coach position.

Leinart was influenced by having to have elbow surgery after his Junior season. We haven't heard anything about Luck's liking of the college experience being like Leinart's liking of the college experience. One thing is he doesn't have Mr Jessica Simpson hanging off his nuts. And Luck has more maturity than Leinart. Luck's returning because he's committed to getting his degree and to Stanford. People have been ripped for skipping school and going after the money, and with Luck we've got a guy who chose to stay in school. This is a kid who wants to get his degree first, the NFL is going to be there, and he'll get a degree from Stanford. I'm not going to blast him for deciding to stay.

Luck's doing what he wants to do, and that's the most important thing. Besides, considering all things, who's to say we're going to have a 2011 NFL Season?

Good point about him wanting to stay, even as a Carolina fan myself. IMO, I would rather Carolina go out, find a good coach, improve the defense with some smart draft picks( which they have done in the past), maybe find a good veteran QB. In a perfect world, Carolina would go after McNabb. Well, in a more perfect world, Tom Brady would be released and decided that he love Charlotte but I digress. Maybe see what Kerry Collins is up to.

They're a sub .500 team without a game breaker QB, in the AFC East, if he wants to win in the NFL go to the Niners. They've got more talent and are in the NFC Worst, so he's got a better chance to win there.

The problem if we do that Nate is that then in a couple of years, we're right back in the position we're at now.

The problem if we do that Nate is that then in a couple of years, we're right back in the position we're at now. True. I just thought of Collins just because he has been solid for the past few years. He might have two three years tops left in him but it would be like Arizona. Make it to the super bowl with an old vet QB, QB retires. OH NO. However, the "strategy" of throwing Jimmy Clausen out there and saying "wing it" won't work either. So in other words Pool, I don't know lol. It will be an interesting offseason for Carolina. And I look forward to it and the upcoming season, there is some potential to this team, just a few thing just need to fall into place. As always, Go Panthers.
