Bud Adams just announced that Vince Young will not be a member of the Tennessee Titans next season.
Game, Set, Match, Fisher.

Since Marvin Lewis has now been resigned its time for some NFL fun facts! Here are the tallys for the NFL's four longest tenured coaches, of which Lewis is now fourth. Note that none of these include playoffs. Jeff Fisher: 16 years, 142-120 Andy Reid: 11 years, 118-73-1 Bill Belichick: 10 years, 126-50 Marvin Lewis: 8 years, 60-67-1 One of these doesn't seem like it belongs to me. Three things: 1- ROFL @ Lewis' record compared to the other three 2- I love how Bellichick has more wins than Reid with one less year 3- The tie game that Reid and Lewis had were against each others

If Hue Jackson is hired, take a look at this:
Offensive coordinator Hue Jackson Offensive line coach Tom Cable Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin Offensive line coach Art Shell Offensive coordinator Norv Turner Offensive line coach Bill Callahan Offensive coordinator Jon Gruden Offensive line coach Joe Bugel Offensive coordinator Mike White Offensive line coach Art Shell Offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan
There is a method to Al's madness.

Vince Young has a tremendous record as a starter in college and the pros, been rookie of the year and let the Titans to the playoffs multiple times. When he wasnt starting this year they finished 6-10 despite having a pretty good defense and probably the best RB in the league. I think the Raiders should jump all over Vince. I think the Vikings and Redskins could use a QB too and while Vince isnt the best passer he is a great athlete and a winner.

Collins is a free agent and very washed up I believe Fisher has said he feels Kerry has one or two more good years in him and wants him back.

Saw on ESPN that Wade Phillips is the new DC in Houston. He'll do good work there, I think. Wade is one of those guys who's a great assistant coach, but a lousy head coach. I think he'll do just fine as Defensive Coordinator, especially since there's nowhere to go but up for Houston in that regard.

Happy they went with fisher over Young. Jeff Fisher is the Titans and Young no matter how good the numbers are, is still a player who could peter out next week. Fisher has tenure and is a proven comodity. Vince will still land on his feet and I'd like to see him with a star on his helmet next year if only to give Romo a reason to look over his shoulder

Bud Adams made the right choice in choosing Jeff Fisher over Vince Young
As far as Vince Young goes the Vikings are in desperate need of a QB now that Brett Favre is gone & they need one who can be more then a year or two answer which Favre couldn't be. I think Young & the Vikings are a good match.
When it comes to the Titans I think Kerry Collins can be a serviceable QB for another year or two & then there are a handful of QBs in this years draft that the Titans could draft as their QB of the future.

Putting his personal whatever aside, if the Titans want to draft a QB and they like the mold of Vince Young, go for Cam Newton. Better arm, stronger runner. Basically Vince Young 2.0 with upgrades.

Everybody who thinks the Titans should have kept Fisher you are aware that they had their best player all year and still finished 6-10 after starting last year 0-6 before they reinstated him as the starter?

I'm sorry but until it has been five full seasons and he is given a tan blazer and a bronze bust in Canton, I will not believe any of this nonesense about Bret farve being retired. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, well he tried to fool us three times so as far as I am concerned Bret farve is probabily still a Viking

Even if he did come back he wouldn't be able to be the long term answer.
