Turn McIntyre face. PLEASE? Amen. He's so damned likable in those babyface Drew Galloway vignettes. The crowd would definitely get behind him.

Everyone who owns a mask works double-duty. Rey Mysterio is a dominant main-event face, while the maskless Rey Misterio Jr. is mostly a jobber; meanwhile, Jack Swagger can go for the World title while Todo Americano serves as an occasional Intercontinental challenger, and we can welcome the debut of new jobber Dos Caras Jr.

They have a lot of talent on the show, but no idea what to do with it.
Plus, I like MVP, Gallows, Croft and Archer, and they've all been canned.

CHRISTIAN! CHRISTIAN! AT LAST! YOU MIGHT GET A PUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH!
Really though, they need something. It's at the point now where if they could probably end the brand split.
Aside from that, there's not that many main-eventers they could use that haven't recently been on Smackdown. Jericho and Punk have only recently moved from there. Randy Orton is pretty much the only guy.

I can see WWE calling up some of the losers of NXT 2. Which, all things considered, would be shite.
I'd be all for taking a few folk from RAW and putting them on SmackDown. Yoshi Tatsu, The Hart Dynasty, Ezekiel Jackson and Primo would add good depth to the wafer-thin roster on SmackDown without taking too mcuh away from RAW.

I haven't bothered to watch a single episode in the last month, so I would say that I have become a bit displeased with the roster or at least the way it is used. What was the point of releasing so many off of its roster again?

Honestly, I don't have a problem with the roster. I have a problem with how it's used.

They shouldn't have released the SSE, he was the future of Smackdown I tell you!

It's been mentioned but they need to elevate a mid-card face.
Barretta would be perfect or, turn Drew face.
Dolph can't sit there in a best of infinity series with Kofi. Sure, they have good matches but it's boring now, we've seen them face each other too many times.
Masters too could and should be elevated.

I second bringing Goldust and Zach Ryder to Smackdown, if that means more Cody/Goldust interactions. Also, they could bring along William Regal, too. Elevate Swagger, Drew, Kofi and Del Rio to the main event, push Masters, Kaval, Reks and Chavo to the upper midcard along with Hawkins and Barretta. Get new jobbers from NXT fallouts.

Some good answers here. Interesting stuff.
Personally, I’d say elevate ADR and Swagger to even the main event heel/face ratio with 3 each. Unfortunately I see Ziggler and Kofi strictly as solid upper mid-card carderss but not true main event players (similar to Mr. Perfect and Jake the Snake). I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, as it's an important role that does need to be filled and they do a very good job at it.
I would also bump Kaval up to the upper mid-card and call Percy Watson up from FCW and place him there as well. That's two more faces in the upper mid-card scene, which would help even things out there as well.
Can’t say I’m much of a McIntyre fan and I don’t see much of an upside in him at all. I'm pretty surprised he's getting this much love on here. I would actually consider canning both him and Chavo and spending the money saved on their paychecks on something that will actually attract more fans to the product.

My ideal SD roster for a time like this: Main eventers: Edge, Christian, Alberto, Kane, Rey, Taker Upper mid: Bourne, Kofi, Swagger, Cody, Big Show Mid card: Tyson Kidd, Trent Barretta, Kaval, Drew, Ziggler, Ryder, Golddust, Tatsu Low card: Percy (santino role), Chavo, Joey Mercury, Hawkins
23 man roster there that should bring enough depth to make it not feel so much like the B show. Mostly bringing in unused guys from Raw or one's that don't get enough TV time. That how I would do it anyway, not sure how the 'E is gunna get out of it tho.

If the Tag Team Titles didn't exist I'd say it's a decent roster. Not knocking any doors down by saying the Tag Team division is embarrassing.
Smackdown is just treading water right now, I don't think it's to do with the roster. They have a good set of characters, some awesome workers, but they do nothing with them. The only feud I like is ADR vs Mysterio, Edge vs. Kane is beyond stupid, and everything else it seems like they make up as they go along. The repetitive booking of the Intercontinental Title is frustrating to watch, the matches are good but it seems like Dolph needs to beat a number one contender 5 times before someone else gets a shot.
Raw's on a roll right now because though there are still certain cases where you just think "what the hell are you doing?", (case in point: DH Smith vs. Tyson Kidd) they're booking Miz, Morrison, Santino, Teddy Hart and others in ways that make you feel there's an earnest effort to develop elevate new guys. Smackdown is perfectly fine with complacency right now and I feel like I'm wasting time watching it.

With Kaval's release, I just had to look this thread up and say that, no, I am not satisfied with it. They lost a great talent today, along with plenty of others in the past few months. Most of them were faces, so with them gone, the heels have fewer opponents to face, and the same matches start repeating themselves. They either need to turn some of the heels face, bring up some of the talented wrestlers that never get featured on the show (Trent Barreta and Curt Hawkins, for example), or put some Raw guys that have nothing to do onto the show. Ezekiel Jackson just isn't enough help for the brand at the moment.

Iim just gonna try and edit around yours. I'm using wasted Raw talent and FCW talent to help go around it.
Total count: 10 faces, 10 heels, 20 total Main Eventers: (3 faces/3 heels) The Big Show Edge Kane Rey Mysterio Alberto Del Rio Drew McIntyre
Upper Mid-Carders: (3 faces/3 heels) "Dashing" Cody Rhodes Dolph Ziggler Jack Swagger Kofi Kingston Tyler Black (face) Mason Ryan (heel)
Lower Mid-Carders: (3 faces/3 heels) Chris Masters Tyler Reks Zack Ryder Curt Hawkins Trent Baretta Percy Watson
Comedy/Jobbers: (1 face/1 heel) Chavo Guerrero JTG (only because I can't see any way of ever restoring these two's credibility after 3 years of terrible booking each)
Fired: Hornswoggle. For the love of god.
