eh, I think the only reason that Barrett was even on RAW this past week was because he injured Cena in the ring. Had Cena been able to compete... or it have been any other person that did it and he would still be off TV selling the chairs.
So uh... Isaac Yankem?

I'm for the move if, and I doubt this will happen, if Punk actually brings back the idea of the Nexus being this larger than life bigger picture thing that was so intriguing about the first run. Unfortunately the first run just fizzled out and became a lame power struggle between Barrett and Otunga which was just laughable.

I say yay because it was the only way it would work with current heel CM Punk.

All in all, while I'm willing to give the angle a chance but right now it looks like Nexus has lost it's focus.
I mean...wasn't CM Punk one of the original NXT Pros that they absolutely loathed?

By this point, I think they expect us to forget that part of the storyline, which is too bad. I remember hearing that the week that the showed up on Raw and attacked Cena, there was supposed to be a Christian & Heath Slater vs Miz & Daniel Bryan match at a FCW show. It ended up being Miz & Christian vs Slater & Bryan and Miz was over HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE as a face with the crowd. As far as why they're with Punk? Except for Otunga, they've mostly been shown as stooges that follow orders so far. The others haven't shown anything other than being trained monkeys...yet. They're all pawns to be used whether it's by Barrett, Punk or Otunga. Punk's a charismatic cult leader. Just look at the SES. Nexus is a bunch of followers who's leader was out of action. They were easy pickings for Punk. The bigger question is...what part does Otunga still have to play in this? I don't see him being as easily ruled like the others. He has something up his sleeve...

Lets see what Barrett can do by himself.

Nay, But both are very poor leaders. With Barrett being better. At least Nexus held some gold. SES couldn't beat Rey.

Yay!
Since Punk is a better wrestler and talker then Wade Barrett.

I think it can be salvaged still. Wade Barrett can recoup his leadership role on Smackdown, bringing back Tarver, Sheffield, and Young. When time comes to face off with Punk again, Gabriel can switch alliances (since he showed reluctance to align with Punk initially, whether accidentally or not) to make the teams even at 5 people each. Could make for a decent showdown at Wrestlemania or later, depending on when the injured get healed up.

Personally, I like Punk as the leader of Nexus. {Spoiler}Though, I wish Barrett didn't get moved to Smackdown so quickly, but I understand why they did it. Assuming they want to keep him a heel, they really had to. Barrett would have been the face going up against Punk and Nexus, and I'm sure that is not what WWE wanted.
I'll be interested to hear Barretts explanation for moving to Smackdown and attacking the Big Show.
I think this is clearly setting up for Barrett VS Taker at Wrestlemania. I said it when Nexus attacked Taker, and I'm convinced of it now.

I think it's a good thing! It lets Barrett move on up while keeping Nexus alive so that those guys continue to have jobs. You don't want him chained down to Nexus forever, in that same increasingly-repetitive role, but if someone else didn't take the group, you'd kind of have to let those guys go. This way, everyone wins.

{Spoiler}I honestly think the feud with Big Show is happening because he hit the wasteland on him at a house show. Pretty impressive. Barrett coming in and winning clean against the Big Show and displaying his strength will be a good way to legitimize him as a threat.

{Spoiler}Personally, I think Wade Barrett is continuing the "bigger picture" on his own...a one man Nexus. What do all of Nexus' assault victims have in common when Barrett was involved? Let's see...John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Undertaker, CM Punk, Mark Henry and Big Show. If you ignore Steamboat, all of those men held one brand or another's top title. They're (or were) attacking champions and former champions to weaken them. I think Barrett is still on that mission even on his own. The question is, is it for himself or is he trying to help someone else?
