It's been almost 11 months since HHH last held a WWE title belt.
Feels good, doesn't it?
I was trying to find reasons why 2010 felt like such a great year in the WWE, and one thought I had was that HHH hadn't been carrying a championship belt around for a change. I thought he managed to go the whole year without one, but how quickly I forgot about DX holding the tag titles to start off the year.
That caused me to do a little research... When was the last time HHH went a full calendar year without holding a title? The answer is 2006, when he main evented Wrestlemania (losing to John Cena) and later began the DX reunion to crush the Spirit Squad every week. What a great year that was. Ugh. Before that, you have to got all the way back to 1995 to see a completely title-less HHH.
So I ask the question, will HHH win another title in 2011?

Yes, most likely the WWE Title. Although, if he chased Daniel Bryan's U.S Title, that would be different. And it would be great to see the reaction to HHH squashing Bryan. Then, he can go on a tirade about being the "diamond of this business" and how, "these damn indy guys think they can hang in the WWE, but they gotta know, you must be THIS tall to be a success", leading to an HHH/Hornswoggle feud, culminating in a Fatal 4 Way at Wrestlemania between Triple H, Hornswoggle, Daniel Bryan and Vince McMahon for the United States Championship. WM closes with Bryan joining forces with HHH, revealing that HHHe was "working with those damn indy midgets all along!", leading to the return of Kaval and the debut of Tyler Black as they join up with HHH and they dominate WWE for the next 14 months, until Nexus reunite, leading to a 14 man tag team match: Triple H, Daniel Bryan, Kaval, Tyler Black, Hornswoggle, Dean Malenko and Chris Sabin vs. Vince McMahon, Edge, Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, The Miz and Alex Riley, ending with the image of a bloody Vince McMahon beating Bryan into submission, thus expiring an amazing year long war between the WWE and those damn indies.
Umm....yeah, Triple H will probably win the WWE Title at some point.

There's a better chance of John Cena not making a corny joke in 2011.

Honestly to make to world titles mean more, someone needs to hold it for like 8+ months. He is a good candidate for that. So hopefully?

I highly doubt it, to be honest.

If it wasn't for No Mercy 07, where he only had the title for a couple hours, didn't he go 3 years without one? From WM 21 to some point in 2008?

Isn't it kind of cheating to count time he's been "injured", though? Like, it's probably more meaningful to count the time in which he's been active without a title.

I'm split on it. I could easily see him winning the Rumble and challenging Sheamus for the WWE title at WrestleMania, but if that doesn't happen I can't see him ever holding gold again.

He will break Flair's record of Title wins before his career is over.

There's no reason for HHH to win another title, work another match, or cut another promo. He's basically a McMahon. He'll only do onscreen stuff if he wants to. I'd be really surprised if he wanted to keep working a champion's schedule if he doesn't have to. I damn sure wouldn't.

I actually suspect that HHH is gonna spend the remainder of his career getting guys over. Crazy, right? But he's got the future of the company to think of, which he has a big stake in. So, I think if he does hold a title in 2011, it will be transitional, and will be his last.
