HHH and Austin beating the s*** out of Lita. I still find that hard to watch. To this day, the Austin/HHH chair beatdown of the Hardyz and Lita is one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever seen on WWE TV. Even watched today, it's just sickening. Austin hits Lita with the chair about 5 times, and then drives it into her STOMACH...really brutal, awful stuff This, I just watched it on Youtube because I didn't remember it and my god. It was nasty and horrifying. I'll add HHH's treatment of Mick Foley in late 1999, culminating in him snapping and returning as Cactus Jack. Yea, the HHH/Foley feud was pretty amazing. HHH beat the wholy hell out of him, and it was pretty damn brutal. There was a stretch where Foley worked with HHH, Austin, The Rock where he seemed to make his opponent look like a million bucks. He really helped get these guys over even more than they already were. Good shit.

It was before the Attitude Era of the WWE Section, but still... -Randy Savage attempting to crush Ricky Steamboat's throat with the ring bell. Not good enough to just simply hit him in the head with it, knock him out, draw blood. That wasn't Savage's style. The way Vince sold it was almost macabre in it's delivery. "Steamboat can't breathe! He's turning purple!!!" Rick was put on a stretcher and promptly fell off because they couldn't contain him as he struggled to breathe. Then backstage, as color commentator Bruno Sammartino was giving an update on him ("They had to actually cut a hole in his throat...insert a tube in his throat, to get him to breathe."), Savage came in, gloating over what he did. Bruno just lost it ("You swine, you dirty...!"), tried to KILL "The Macho Man" with his bare hands. Took all sorts of agents and referees to try to pry Bruno off of him. That was just scary and crazy. Even just thinking about it gives me chills. Steamboat deserved my concern, but thinking as a 12 year-old, Bruno could have killed Savage as well. Another one that involved trying to suffocate somebody to death: When Andre the Giant wouldn't break the choke he had on Jim Duggan in the corner, and the referee just kept counting. Andre had a cold look in his eyes, and just kept choking Hacksaw, shaking him. Duggan was bleeding from the mouth from a couple of head-butts. The only way he was able to get away was he happened to be able to reach his 2x4 and clobbered the Giant a few times with whatever energy he had left. Fun, family-friendly entertainment for everyone on a Saturday morning at 10am! (Oh yeah, I originally came in to post Vader's assault on Gorilla Monsoon.) Andre was legit FRIGHTENING as a heel. There was also the pre-Wrestlemania 3 battle royal where he headbutted Lanny Poffo and then threw him over the top like he was nothing. The camera than cuts a minute later to Poffo still on the floor, refs surrounding him, his face a bloody mess...from ONE headbutt from the Giant. And the commentary notes you included reminded me of two gems from the Roberts/Savage feud that really sold Jake as evil incarnate. -After the slapping of Elizabeth, the professional reserve of Gorilla Monsoon went right out the window and it sounded like he was about two seconds from leaving the booth to take care of Jake himself. -After the snake bite, they have a perfect camera angle of Jake smiling at the cobra, which has its hood fully raised. Cue an incredibly upset Vince McMahon: "Get him out of there, get Randy Savage out of there! This was not supposed to happen! Jake Roberts has snapped! Jake Roberts...Jake Roberts IS SICK!"

Orton punting Cena's dad was pretty f***ed up.
One I don't think people remember as much is Miz doing this silly rap against R-Truth on a RAW in the summertime. Everyone was laughing and chanting at Miz, who dances into the ring, then promptly assaults R-Truth and kayfabe breaks his arm or whatever.

-The Rock going apeshit on Mick Foley with a chair, followed by standing over his beaten corpse at the '99 Royal Rumble.
-Triple H & Evolution beating down Eugene.
And a half-dozen others, but those two popped up in my head immediately.

when Kane had Shawn Michaels head in a chair and then landed on it from the top rope. It was so disturbing I stopped watching wrestling for at least half a year You and me are thinking of the same thing.

Sheamus powerbombing Jamie Noble on the floor was really shocking considering how tame WWE wrestling can be. Ever since then, I've looked at Sheamus as a serious threat you don't want to mess with.

Didn't Vince once order Umaga to completely destroy some jobber even going so far as saying "Break his damn neck!!"

I'm assuming it was in ECW during her Extreme Expose days. Any details you can give me on that, who hit her, when was it, PPV or TV? Sounds pretty f***ed up. Didn't Vince once order Umaga to completely destroy some jobber even going so far as saying "Break his damn neck!!" That sounds very familiar, but can't remember any details.

Mike Knox attacking Rey Mysterio, simply just for the sake of it.

nWo hitting an ambulance with the rock in it....with a friggin semi...yeah, it was stupid, and the rock just had a bandage on his chest when he came back 2 weeks later...but it was still a complete monster moment.
when Lesnar had Hogan in the bear hug and hogan was bleeding from the mouth and Heyman kept yelling to him "BROCK STOP!! YOUR GONNA FN KILL HIM!!!"
Austin hands Stacy Kiebler a beer...and she tells him she dosent drink, and Austin looks upset about that and gives her the stunner and flipps her off...which the crowd reacted like Austin just found the cure for cancer...

It was on ECW in 2006, and it was a match between Kelly's then-boyfriend Mike Knox and Sandman. Long Story short, Sandman was about to hit Knox with the cane, but before he could pull back, Knox used Kelly as a shield to protect himself and Kelly got hit square in the face by the cane. I think she bled because of this. It was just very scummy of Knox to use his girlfriend as a human shield against a foreign object.

HHH putting the Rock in a casket and beating it with a sledgehammer. Wasn't that at Over the Edge, therefore making it ten times worse? Also, Mickie kidnapping Ashley and the subsequent bloody kiss to Trish.

After watching the Hardys and Lita get taken down by Austin/HHH, Lita sold that pedigree like a champ. Took the stunner well too, so freaking underrated Lita is.

There was another Mike Knox moment where he tried to apologize with flowers to Kelly after abandoning her at December to Dismember two nights prior. He got down on one knee, expressed his deepest regrets... only to say he should have dumped her beforehand and insults her. He then throws the flowers hard at her face and hits his finisher on her, with Tazz getting so pissed he gets in the ring and confronts him.
I had no investment in the storyline between Knox and Kelly, but even that moment had be going "Oh, f*** you, pal."
