Speaking of time travel, one of the characters here kinda looks like Aeon from Castlevania Judgment, which also has time travel.. Isn't that the game where Maria is obsessed with boobs?

I'm a hardcore Castlevania fan and even I stayed away from that game. Looks irredeemably terrible, and the character designs...wow.

Final Fantasy Type-0 for PSP is coming over here, according to an interview with the game's director from the Japanese Ultimania guide. From what I've seen of it I'm hyped, it looks solid.
I'd like a physical UMD release, mainly because a. the Japanese boxart is pretty swank and I'd like to see what they do for prospective NA/EU cover art (SE usually tends to be great in that regard), and b. it's on 2 UMDs, so there's the uniqueness factor. Also, stupid online fear blah blah. Who knows, though, especially with the Vita looming.
Oh, and Atlus has released the first English screens for Devil Survivor 2. Release date soon, pretty please?

I'm pretty much done with new Final Fantasy after XIII, unless Type-0 turns out to be awesome. Even then it'll probably be a while before I play it. Hopefully it comes out on UMD and not digital-only. I don't have a fear of online purchasing but I do have a distaste for non-physical media, especially with as pricey as games are now. Release date for DS2 is February 14, 2012, according to Amazon. Not sure how accurate that is though.

I can definitely understand where you're coming from, after the galactic wrath FFXIII induced in you. I'm willing to give them one last chance with Type-0, and if it turns out crummy I'm done as well. SE has been quite disappointing recently, no two ways about it; FFXIII followed later by the revelation of Dragon Quest X being an MMO was a terrible one-two combo, though in between we got DQVI DS, Nier('s soundtrack), and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (which I now have but can't play till Christmas, by the way) to somewhat ease the pain.
DS2's is a placeholder date, unfortunately. Atlus hasn't announced anything about a date either on their main site or their forums, but it probably will come out sometime around February, considering the turnaround for the first Devil Survivor was the same length (six months).

It's a shame because I really love a lot of SE's games. It just seems like a lot of the time, especially recently, they load the games up with so much stupidity and complications and it takes a lot of the fun out of the game. I gave up on the KH series halfway through II, when I realized I was only halfway through it after what seemed like an eternity of playing. Never played any of the Dragon Quest games though.
I figured it might be a placeholder date, but it sounds reasonable. I hope they do something extra for it, I was surprised that there were no extras with the first one.

Saw it on GameFAQs, and MARKED OUT LIKE I WAS TEN! I am elated. Also, it's apparently GameStop exclusive, guys, which likely means get it while you can.

By the way what is anyone's thoughts on Final Fantasy Versus XIII? I've seen hardly anything of it and can't form an opinion. The Kingdom Hearts team is working on it and I guess they're trying to make a very dark game, so maybe I'll give some videos a look if the game ever emerges from development hell and if FF Type-0 turns out as good as it seems it'll be. Right now, though, the Final Fantasy series is on a slippery slope with me.

By the way what is anyone's thoughts on Final Fantasy Versus XIII? Haven't seen it, barely care. Final Fantasy XIII ruined any future games for me from Final Fantasy.

If anyone cares, here's the trailer for Versus XIII. It looks like it will play like Kingdom Hearts. And from what I heard, it will NOT be about any of the characters from XIII, and from what I heard the lead character will NOT be like a Cloud-type character, he will have a strong and distinctive personality, and will absolutely not be a "silent, gloomy boy". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Versus_XIII

It's like you're saying "he's totally not a Cloud clone, he's unique like a snowflake". Of course, I'm yet to bother with watching any trailers for Versus since 13 really left a bad taste in my mouth and will forever have me wary of any Final Fantasy game.

Have fun with it, I played it for the first time myself earlier this year. It hasn't aged fantastically but it's still quite an enjoyable experience. Terrific gameplay.

I beat Dark Cloud. Thought it was a good game but flawed in a number of areas. Would like to try Dark Cloud 2 to see if they improved on some of the annoyances I had with the first game, like limited inventory, the thirst meter, weapon breaking, and how characters get stronger.
Not sure what RPG I'll move on to next. To be honest there's not many coming out in the near future that I'm particularly interested in, other than Devil Survivor 2.

I haven't played a lot of Dark Cloud 2 (stopped in the middle of it due to family issues and never really returned to it), but it's more refined and better than the first game. It obviously looks significantly better, for one, and the Georama system is handled a bit differently (it's deeper, and you've got more freedom with it). Broken weapons don't disappear for good and the thirst meter is gone, you'll be happy to hear; from what I've played the game's easier than the first too.
Got a Wii, High Chief? Xenoblade looks like a killer.

I might pick up Dark Cloud 2 after Christmas. A store around here had it for I think 18 bucks. Then again, the store also had Persona 2 Eternal Punishment for 40 I think, so I have more interest in that. Stupid cashflow problems.
I have access to one. I'm not sure what to make of Xenoblade, because it sounds pretty interesting, but it also sounds like an MMORPG a bit, which I'm not particularly interested in.
