I love Ghostlight, no blow up dolls for them, what's so great about Agarest 2 anyway, I know nothing about this series but my interest has been piqued by such a nice special edition. The awesome Deluxe Edition includes: PS3 Blu-Ray (shockingly enough ^_^) A Cool Double-Sided Inlay A Monstrous 48-page Hardback Art Book 6 Highly Collectible Art Cards (featuring character artwork) An A3 poster featuring the stunning Aina & Victoria All housed in a Special Slip Case Wait…but there’s even more… An ice-cool Agarest-themed Messenger bag (34 cm * 30 cm * 8 cm), featuring handy stuff like phone storage, an awesome headphone access point, and all the compartments you could ever need to store all that loot in! A stylish Agarest-themed black baseball cap The Official Soundtrack CD in a Jewel Case with inlay

Yeah, if you read the comments on their news articles you can see that they like to pimp out the special editions of the games a lot. If Devil Survivor 2 and Overclocked had such a thing, you can bet'jurass they're going to bring them special editions.

That's how you do a deluxe edition, looks very nice. Also looks very expensive, hahaha. Well done, Ghostlight.

That's the kind of shit I love, I hate DLC related Pre-Order items.

I've been tearing through all my PS2 RPG's for the first time in years. P3 and 4, Dark Chronicle, Star Ocean: Til the End of Time, Dragon Quest VIII etc.
Also, I was thinking of getting Final Fantasy III for the DS. Is it any good?

It's not as plot heavy as other Final Fantasys, and the job system isn't as complex, but it's a fun game.

Haven't been playing games in general recently outside of returning to Pokémon B/W, and even that's mainly trying to breed a decent Zorua and not finishing up post-game like I need to, haha. Seeing The Avengers has bitten me with the comic bug hard.

Charles Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden is the greatest JRPG never made in Japan.
That is all.

I was all excited until the 3DS part. I know they have to keep up with new systems but come on.
Haven't been playing many console/handheld games recently but am playing a few iOS ones:
Adventure Bar Story - This is pretty much an Atelier game except you run a bar and there isn't an active time limit which is what annoyed me the most with the Atelier games. Instead the game is divided into days, and you can go to one outside area per day, then return to the bar, make food and drinks, put up a menu and open for business. It's pretty fun and I think it was released for some other systems.
Ash - Haven't really gotten into this one too much yet but it's an old-style RPG. Not too difficult yet, aside from some bosses.
MonTowers - Not really that fun of a battle system, since you just have to wait for a moving circle to cross an area on a bar and touch the screen. What's neat is you can collect every monster you fight and then upgrade them which has been keeping me interested because damn I need to collect them all.

I was too tired to post "ALL OF MY MONEY ATLUS!!!1" in addition to the SMT IV news, so yeah. That. Teaser site's also up: megaten4.jp/ Interestingly, the art doesn't look like Kaneko's. I was all excited until the 3DS part. I know they have to keep up with new systems but come on. What's so bad about it? I'd like for it to be on the Vita as well due to lack of region locking in case it misses Europe, but it's bound to be a fantastic and well-crafted experience with a great and thought-provoking story. I've been replaying DQ VIII and it's kicking my arse! Yeah, the bosses don't play around. Might be wimpy of me but I always try to grind up to level 30 before you-know-who at the Dark Ruins so I have Multiheal handy. I just killed Neclord on Suikoden. Just figured I'd share that. I remember Hellion being totally awesome when I used her in that battle, even with Neclord halving elemental damage.

Mostly the me not having one part of it. I would like to see a non-fighting game spinoff on one of the current generation of consoles at some point also, but it seems like there are not any plans for that. It's not that I dislike the handheld games but a PS3 or 360 SMT would be awesome.

Hate that SMT 4 is on the 3DS just for the fact, that like DS: Overclocked, it might not be released in Europe.
Anyway, started playin Resonance Of Fate. Interesting game so far

Interesting game so far Devil Survivor: Overclocked WILL be released in Europe, though. As well as Devil Survivor 2 for the DS, courtesy of Ghostlight, who seems to be the "go to" European company for this kind of games in the last few months. There's still no date set, but they are working on it according to the following: blog.ghostlight.uk.com/post/whats-new-in-the-world-of-ghostlight

It's not that I dislike the handheld games but a PS3 or 360 SMT would be awesome. It really would be, but it's sadly a matter of profit. Will a Megaten game's sales justify the budget of a console release? And sadly Megaten as a brand is not what it used to be in Japan, even as it becomes more and more popular over here. Catherine worked for Atlus, but that was a project on a much smaller scope than a Persona 5 or a SMT V or Raidou 3 or whatever would entail. I wonder what's happening with Persona 5, for that matter, given that it's supposed to be a PS3 game (I think).
