www.comicbooked.com/fall-of-the-x-men-enter-x-men-schism/Looks like Cyclops will be the new Tony Stark. Wolverine is like a super amplified John Cena. He was cool when he was edgy. He became a merchandise machine, because he was going places your typical good guys didn't. He got pushed into everything that could be big and his edginess toned down because he was selling merchandise. Now he's popular because he's popular and you will like it. Blah anyway how do you think the sides will play out? I think the "cool" X-men end up on team Wolverine. Scott gets the ones who have lost their flavor over the years or who never got as big as their creators hoped.

I'm supporting Cyclops no matter what. He's one of the most unfairly crapped on characters in comics. Honestly, he's my favorite X-Man.

I have to justify myself to plebs when I say I'm a cyclops fan.
They only see him in the films.

The thing I love so much about Cyclops is that he's a very real character. He's very well written in that you can clearly see why he's gone from the boy scout in Uncanny X-Men #1 to the hardened leader of the mutant race you see in today's comics. Does he always come out looking like a nice guy? Nope, and that's just one more reason he's a great realistic character.

I mean, a hardened leader will actually get his own hands dirty and own the decision, not start his own personal "kill squad" in secret like he did with the X-Force.

The guy was desperate to protect the remaining mutant race, and made a rash decision. Who wouldn't?

I will admit, he did have a pretty good idea about how to use the New Mutants recently. Having what amounts to a mutant "clean-up crew" for all the mess the X-Men get into is a sound concept.

Just picked up....
Blue Estate #3 which is such a strange story that I'm not sure where it'll end up. The characters are all crazy though. I love the slow pacing of the story, but I just hope its worth it.
Green Wake 1-3 I've been meaning to pick up with this series for a few months now, but just got into it. Pretty good so far. Very surrealist-ish, I think.
GI Joe: Cobra, Death of Cobra Commander I had to back order the 3 previous tp's, but I had no idea that Costa was doing such great work with the Joe franchise. I don't usually hop on board with titles like these but the writing seemed so good I had to get into it.

The guy was desperate to protect the remaining mutant race, and made a rash decision. Who wouldn't? And let's not forget that after that, Wolverine just brought back X-Force anyway with a group of actual killers instead of a bunch of kids, thus showing that while Cyke's idea of the line-up wasn't right, he was in the right regarding the necessity for the team.

A weird thought just hit me: With Detective and Action Comics getting renumbered starting at one with the DC Reboot, does that make Amazing Spider-Man the closest current comic to #1000? I know that this coming issue should be #666 if I'm counting right, but is it now gonna be the closest once the other two books relaunch at #1?

And even that particular Spidey was relaunched in 98 and was renumbered later

Along the above lines, what's the longest running book to have never been re-numbered now? off the top of my head, I'm thinking Uncanny X-Men...but really I have no clue.
