Is that the Dick Grayson Batman in the pic? He looks WAY too heavily muscled. Do I smell a steroid scandal in the future?

I'm going to wait and see, but this sounds beyond pathetic. it's only going to alienate existing readers, and I doubt that this is really going to bring in new readers. if the people reading your books already are the only ones who hear about it, then it doesn't matter.

I like Cyborg, but boy that picture is a real " One of these things is not like the other" situation as far as 'main eventers' go. It's like "here's six iconic characters, and Cyborg." Edit: Maybe it's because he was on Smallville? Though Green Arrow ain't there, so that's probably not it. I like Cyborg, but yeah, they probably should have put SOMEONE else around his tier in there so he wasn't the odd one out. The cynic in me thinks they might have tossed him in for quota reasons, but if that was the aim, then you'd think Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle would have made the cut, too. Haven't they basically been ignoring anything new Gail Simone's added to existing characters that aren't in the Secret Six or Birds of Prey? I know they killed off her new Atom, but I'm not sure about the treatment of the new Blue Beetle.

I used to love DC in the late 90's/early 2000's. Batgirl, JSA, Starman, Chase, Chronus, Young Justice, Hourman, Orion, Peter David's Supergirl, etc. These were just amazing books, and imaginative too. It felt like DC was genuinely doing new and different stuff with their properties. God, what happened to that company? Geoff Johns happened. He did... and then he went and wrote the best stories that DC have ever put on a comic book page.

if the people reading your books already are the only ones who hear about it, then it doesn't matter. Its already gotten national exposure from non-comic sources. Whether people will care is debatable, but it is out there for non-comic readers to see.

He probably will, since they've got plans for him in other media (assuming that the planned BB series is still going to happen). But, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets passed over.

I actually love Johns' writing.
That being said, are we going to get YET ANOTHER Superman Origin miniseries? A 3rd one in 10 years?

The new Justice League. Going by eyesight, it looks like Mon-El, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, Batman, The Flash (Wally, I think), and Hal Jordan That isn't Mon El or Wally. It is de-aged Barry and new look Superman, also younger. The point of this event is to shave about ten years off everyone so that everyone is more 'modern and approachablke to a younger generation.' And the whole Wonder Woman/Aquaman war is alt. universe stuff. It 'doesn't count' even in a story designed to render the past thirty odd years countless. .....Yeah, that makes sense. And didn't the Justice League just get changed around after Brightest Day?

Superman lost his red underwear and Wonder Woman changed up Gold for Silver.
I had a feeling DC was headed towards a re-boot.

Rumor has it Grant Morrison has been offered Wonder Woman.
If that's true, get ready for some trippy things.

Going by eyesight, it looks like Mon-El, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, Batman, The Flash (Wally, I think), and Hal Jordan Superman looks like a total crybaby pretty boy in that drawing. Looks like some 16 year old who has "problems". Not the Iron jawed one of the past. And Wonder Woman lost her attractiveness.

Barbara Gordon is apparently back as Batgirl as well. You'd think with all the alien technology Batman has access to with his Justice League friends he could have found a way to fix a damaged spine along time ago. What a dick.

www.usatoday.com/life/comics/2011-06-01-dc-comics-why-the-change_n.htmmore details included in here and needless to say, it sounds like I may end up dropping all DC books over this - over 3/4 of creative teams will be changed and many series won't be coming back - Batwoman (lesbian) and Blue Beetle (Hispanic) will still be around for diversity -1st Justice League arc has them coming together "for the 1st time" since according to Johns, when the Justice League first started in the 60s, it wasn't for any reason in particular - the line will be diversified with not just superhero comics but also war, horror, and western books

Didn't the Justice League come together cause of Starro, that space starfish that takes over the bodies of monsters to do stuff? Or what about the DCAU reasoning for the alien invasion?
