Even in 2011 the gimmick might not work because sadly a lot of fans would boo the s*** out of him because he is gay. Because the majority of wrestling fans are rednecks who are stuck in the 1950s mind. Let's wait til around 2070 and see if we can do it Then there could be a gay babyface alien Gaylien? Justin Gaylien?

Why would they be afraid? Two of the longest tenured employees in the company are well known homosexuals. Go to an indie promotion in the deep south. I mean, the REALLY deep south, where the wrestlers are equally as banjo-picktastic as the marks. Say you're gay. If you can get out alive, you could write a kickass book about it. No offense, but that's just as offensive as the hate the bigots spew at homosexuals. Tell that to the parents of the college student at Rutgers who's gay child was taunted into suicide. Is it still just a Southern thing? The point I was trying to make was that if I were a homosexual wrestler I would try and get a job where there have been gays who have been allowed to ascend up the ladder of employment. Everybody should just try and love one another regardless of assumptions.

Well, that would seem pretty open. Not like you think. HBO did a series about porn and they talked about men in gay porn. It seems alot of them are straight and even have girlfriends/wives. They do gay porn cause the guy gets paid better then in straight porn if your not a name guy. Of course, some would say they're gay but, in denial. Eh - you willingly participate in homosexual sex, it's homosexual sex, regardless of why.

Paul Heyman? I've listened to a Raven's interview with Gabe and Raven said something along the line of: ''Well, you do know that Heyman is gay?'' And Gabe seriously responded: ''Yeah I've heard that.''
He always seemed to be protective about that so maybe it's not the best thing to talk about.

I'd just like to see pro-wrestling finally do a fully face, non creepy, freakish, and/or exploitative gay gimmick. It's 2011, it would work. I thought that might have been where they were going to go with the whole Daniel Bryan/Bella Twins angle. I was hoping he would become like Omar from the Wire. The gay guy that nobody f***s with because he's a bad ass. Sadly, I think a lot of wrestling fans would end up booing a gay character regardless of how he was portrayed.

Eh - you willingly participate in homosexual sex, it's homosexual sex, regardless of why. Actually for some it is just a job. There are females who do lesbian porn but actually are straight and enjoy straight sex more. It's a money thing. People do a lot of stuff for money they never would without the pay. Hadn't we the topic in the WWE group after Kelly Kellys twitter? "Having sex with the booker to get on top"? It's the same, they do it but it doesn't mean they enjoy it, they do it to get more money, more fame, more success. And the guys in the porn scene do get more money for gay scenes, so they do it. Ask around on this board, ask the people, how many of them have a job they don't like, they hate, they despise, but they get there every day because it pays the bill. There would be a lot. It's the same thing. People just need to stop thinking Sex is something special. In the end we do it for fun, just like playing a video game and some people do it as a job, for some it's fun (like some us enjoy their jobs) and for some it sucks but at least gives money (like some of the people here)

There is no way you can get aroused and have sex with another man if you don't enjoy it a little bit....making you bisexual if anything.
No real straight person is going to be able to "pretend" have sex with another man, no matter how much they get paid. I know I wouldn't.

Then how can you explain all the gay men who are able to have sex with women in order to pretend to be straight? People can have sex with somebody of the gender they don't find sexually arousing. Having gay sex doesn't mean you're gay, that's not how sexuality works. Everybody is different and you should never use your own sexuality as a basis for what other people's sexuality is like. Also consider that it's perfectly possible for a lot of guys to get hard without being turned on. That's a talent that plenty of guys in porn have.

But still, having gay sex is still pretty gay...."straight" or not.

It is an intensely personal thing. A person is vulnerable. So it make sense that there is a level of attachment involved in the act that is disproportionate to what is deserved. As for in wrestling, I can see why the list is fairly small. Wrestlers have long had a screen between their characters and themselves, and given the provincial mindset that exists in the wrestling world it makes sense that a performer wouldn't do something that limits their ability to make money.

I had a lot of confusion about sexuality for a long time because I took physical arousal as some kind of law that I had to be something I didn't really feel was me. physical arousal and sexual orientation aren't the same thing. that said, it's kind of sad when one looks at sex as only a commodity for others, so they'll do anything just because they get paid. but I suppose that's a convedrsation for a different time.

...plus there is the religious aspect that guys like GenMe and Jericho have brought up having issues with gay people over. I must have been late to the party, what is this all about? Kind of a let down to hear that they would have anything negative to say about those of gay and lesbian orientation.

Viagra is one thing to explain the top side of things, the bottom half is a lot harder to explain to the "girlfriend" methinks.

I used to work in a sex store; I've seen damn near everything. There is no real link between where a man puts his penis and what he likes as far as man/woman/both/neither. I masturbate. Does that make me a hand-o-sexual?
