I did happen to find my Insurrextion 2002 DVD today. Thats a significant event because is the last televised event ever under the World Wrestling Federation name. If you ever see it, snatch it up. The cover may say WWE, but the event itself is all WWF. The only exception is the WWE bug in the corner. Backlash 2002 which I recently found used for cheap money is the same way. Cover says WWE but it has WWF all over (several music edits, though. ) Today I found a used copy of SummerSlam 2000 for $7.99

Great find on Summerslam 2000. Although I think it only has a couple good matches. But if you find those old WWF DVDs you gotta snatch them up.

I got Summerslam 99, Summerslam 2000, and a still sealed King Of The Ring 2000 for $29.07. That doesn't include the shipping which was 8.97, but still a very good deal me thinks.

I also just picked up a still sealed copy of King of the Ring for 7.50 with free shipping, and a copy of Armageddon 2002 for 7.62. Those 2 will complete the entire year of 2002 ppv's for me.

I pretty much have completed the years 2003 (Well, except for Insurrexion, but I am on the fence about getting that one) and 2005. I have Royal Rumble 2000 coming soon since I ordered it. I'm trying to get my hands on WWF DVDs as well. I am still glad that I got Wrestlemania X-Seven at a record store last year, especially with how much it's put up on Amazon or Ebay.

I just wish I had bought these old DVDs when they first came out. I used to see them all the friggin time. Luckily I'm finding some for decent prices. Regardless Royal Rumble 01, Backlash 01, and Judgment Day 01 are gonna cost a pretty penny. There is just no way around it.

No joke, but a couple of months ago, I bought Judgment Day 2001 at the same record store for 16 dollars. I look at the prices online and think "I'm glad I got it when i got it when I did."

And that copy was sealed!

Sweet collections, And I can't wait for the Best of Nitro. Never was much of a collector around the time I stopped watching wrestling (1st pic). But in the last year or 2, I really enjoyed buying some compilation dvds. That pic with the IC title DVD just reminded me. There are two different versions of the IC title DVD. There is a rarer one that has a pic of Buddy Roberts on the insert instead of Pat Patterson. WWE corrected this and re-released this quietly with Patterson on the insert. So check your copy to see which one you have. I have the Buddy Roberts version. Wow, I never knew that. I just check mine and I have the Buddy Roberts version as well. What's the story behind this? I'm going to post my collection in a minute.

Ok here's what I have. It's a small collection right now, but I plan on building it up.
Wrestlemania III - My mom picked this up for me about six months ago for $3 at Walmart. ECW One Night Stand '06 & ECW Barely Legal '97 - Two pack Vengeance: Night of Champions '07 - Got this free when the radio station I worked at changed formats. Summerslam '07 - Got this on from the radio station too. Unforgiven '07 - Also from the radio station. Andre the Giant - Christmas present this year from my parents. nWo Back in Black - Bought this the day it came out. Life and Times of Mr. Perfect, Rise and Fall of WCW, The Dusty Rhodes Story - Three pack that was also a Christmas present from my parents. History of the IC Title - Christmas present from my wife last year.
As I said, it's a small collection right now, but I plan on it growing over the next year. I have my sights set on the Hart and Soul set, and the Bobby Heenan DVD as my next purchases.
The Kmart by me usually has random two packs for about $12-$15. Usually some good stuff that I plan on checking out soon.

Compression issues aside I really enjoy how they've put the DVDs together for the events that I've watched so far (Summerslam 2002, Royal Rumble 2003, No Way Out 2003, Backlash 2003). The extras are fairly plentiful and well-chosen, going through them I feel more/less like I've watched one of the old countdown shows and am brought up to speed with the context of the show. Later discs that I've seen, No Mercy 2006 and Summerslam 2010, seem to have abandoned this format, which is a real shame.

Also keep in mind I think WWE noticed that the PPV discs were being sold for cheaper and cheaper prices, therefore the content got cheaper and cheaper. It wasn't too long ago where WWE was charging $24.95 (MSRP) for their PPV's on their website.

I think they realized the limited market these things have and just felt it wasnt worth it. It not like they ship millions of these things at a time.

Best Buy is really the only store I know that regularly stocks up the WWE DVD releases on a tight release schedule. That's a good thing though, better place to find DVDs at than Walmart, which is hit or miss for the most part.
Might find some nice discounts on some stuff there, if you can find it. Those 5 dollar bins are so hectic to go into that sometimes I'd rather just pay more to not spend a lot of time digging around in there.

I actually never have a problem finding WWE DVD's at Walmart, I mean like ever. Of course I don't buy the PPV DVD's too often but still. Anyway's I just picked up the 2001 Rumble for 18.54, and I'm contemplating another purchase as I type this lol.

And because I'm an idiot, I made another purchase. I got Survivor Series 2000, Summerslam 01, and Unforgiven 01 for 31.99.
So basically in the past 24 hours I have bought the following....
Summerslam 99 King of the Ring 2000 Summerslam 2000 Survivor Series 2000 Royal Rumble 2001 Summerslam 01 Unforgiven 01 King of the Ring 02 Armageddon 02
WTF is wrong with me? lulz
At least I can take a break now. The only pre 2002 PPV DVD's I still need to get are Royal Rumble 2000, Backlash 2001, and Judgment Day 2001. And trust me, there is no rush on those.

RR 2000 is a pretty good PPV, I bought it 4 years ago off Ebay for $20 in nicely used condition.
