I've never seen the 92 rumble, the I quit match with funk and the steamboat matches so I should really enjoy the DVD and I defently will be getting his 2nd DVD and the 4 horsemen one.

Yeah if you have never seen them then you will love that DVD to death. I had seen most of the matches plenty of times before it came out. I guess thats why I'm a bit jaded on it, its a great DVD nonetheless.

That's the one. I have it, too. I bought it for different reasons. One, collecting. Two, it took place in my hometown. Three, it wasn't a bad deal since I found it at a new/used record store. Plus, on Amazon, the ranges are in the forties, while I got it for $16.99. I'm trying to get my hands on WWF DVDs.

And I just realized that I've spent close to 150 bucks on these things in the last day and a half. Sheesh.

No I have the cash, thats not a problem. Just the fact that I've done it. Its mostly because I find good deals, and cant pass them up lol.

Back in late August I believe, I started a list to see which PPV DVDs I wanted to collect. Basically, for that list, I did from 1999 (When only two PPVs made it to DVD) to 2006. I am not opposed to getting any beyond 2006, in fact, there are a lot from 2008 that I want, few from 2007, some from 2009 and some from 2010 as well. However, there were a few bad PPVs from 2007 that I wouldn't even touch like Unforgiven from that year and then there are the ones like Backlash which were the good ones. It all depends.
Basically, when I did that list, I crossed off the ones that I bought and put asterisks next to the UK PPVs and double asterisks next to Judgment Day and Vengeance of 2002 but I know I will get them one day. Though for the majority of the ones on the list, if not almost all of them, I bought them at that record store. So they were store bought.
By the way, the asterisks mean two different things. One being for the UK PPVs, which I am open to getting, but I am not really in that much of a hurry to get them and for the Shopzone exclusives, basically because of how rare and expensive they are.
I am considering getting VHS copies of old PPVs as well, though I'd be hard pressed to find cheaper copies of some of the Coliseum Video releases.

Get a good transfer device for the VHS'. I have a friend who has some transfer devices for the conversion of VHS to DVD. When the time comes that I get the VHS copies, I'll bring a few tapes over to his house so that he could copy them for me. However, I might do that with some of my recorded on VHS PPVs as well, that includes the WCW and ECW PPVs, too.

That's a good question. I'll have to talk with my friend to see what's recommended. Of course, he even tells me that it is possible to separate sections into chapters.

I haven't transferred VHS to DVD in a long time but I always used a capture card, capturing program, editing program and an authoring program, that would allow me to design menus, set chapters, etc. I suppose those boxes probably streamline the process and make it a lot easier, but adding chapters should not be a big deal at all.

Found a copy of Bad Blood 2004 in mint shape and all inserts for 5 bucks at the store. Pretty good PPV and a good price. I'm not too big on the PPV collecting outside of recent years (2009-2010) but I'll pick up a PPV at a good price for sure.
cj559: Flair's second set is my favorite because of the amazing documentary it comes with. The first is excellent as well but is pretty much all matches. I like a documentary with a compilation set because it feels like a complete package that way.

1. I was really disappointed in the Bobby Heenan set. No real interviews/skits/commentary gems.
2. I just watched the Goonies Cyndi Lauper video featuring Shiek, Piper, Albano, etc. Whole bunch of guys from the Rock n Wrestling era. Made me nostalgic for the live action bits they shot for the Hulk Hogan cartoon. I wonder if there's a chance of this show ever getting released.
3. Also recently watched Sat Night Main Event DVD again. I am nostalgic for that era. What about a SNME volume 2 or a Best of Tuesday Night Titans or Prime Time Wrestling???
