Gotta laugh at poeple who automatically call it bad based on a 2 minute clip and withjout having even seen the full movie. Well...when you consider that a trailer is supposed to make you actually want to watch the movie...

Well...when you consider that a trailer is supposed to make you actually want to watch the movie... Most movies will get their views off of hype, not the trailer(not saying that HHH's movie will get that. It won't). As it is, I think it is dumb to write off a movie based on the trailer. I have seen many really good movies whose trailers stunk.

If I see a Friedberg and Seltzer trailer for another one of their spoof films I know it will be awful without having to watch a single second of the trailer nevermind the film. Usually you shouldn't judge a film on just a trailer I agree but there are special cases. WWE films are one of those cases in my opinion.

/\ I dunno man, Pacifier was at least entertaining, if a bit silly. this one reminds me more of Mr. Nanny.

After watching the trailer, it feels like WWE films got 10 different scripts for 10 different types of movies, and decided to just mash them all together into one really weird one.

I have seen many really good movies whose trailers stunk. Thats a bit of a broad brush. Yes, there are plenty of movies that get box office on hype alone, but theres also plenty that get it off of buzz. A trailer's purpose to get you to watch the thing. WWE isnt going to have billboards of this or massive PR campaigns for it. The trailer is a key to its potential success or failure because its essentially an independent film. This looks like trash from top to bottom. The majority of trailers Ive seen where I've felt that same way going in have turned out to be trash rather than getting a surprise that its actually good. That said, I've also seen great trailers that turn out to be crap movies. Considering their track record, this is more likely to be trash than anything else.

It honestly reminded me of No Holds Barred in terms of production quality and excellent writing.

I might take the risk and see this theaters, even if it means going alone, in the day, during the week. That time is usually better to go alone I think. I am willing to take the risk.

I saw the trailer when I watched my RAW recording earlier. It says that it's going to be in theaters, but is it going to be limited like how Legendary was? I even read that Knucklehead was in theaters but it was in limited selection as well.

The only thing in the trailer that made me laugh was... "I'M MR. BRADSTONE!!!..." because immediately after my mate said "..AND I AM THAT DAMN GOOD!!"

The theaters being graced by The Chaperone in its limited release are as follows:
The closest one for me is 3hrs away, and as curious as I am it's not worth the trip. Don't tell Big Show but this is six more screens than Knucklehead got.

Explain how it looks fun whatsoever besides viewing the film as a guilty pleasure alongside the likes of Battlefield Earth and Stop or My Mom Will Shoot.

And as much as we joked about how shitty the films WWE make are, WWE Films made over 7 million dollars last year. Not much, but ye gods if it didn't cushion the blow of the drop in attendence.
