Just finished and my thoughts
Colt Cabana vs. Tomato Champa: I can't stand Champa. Boring as hell and Cabana just made it watchable: 2 3/4 Stars
Jay Lethal vs. Mick Bennett: See above on my opinion of Bennett, he's Generic WWE guy. Lethal looked great. 3 stars
Homicide vs. Rhino: Fun little brawl. Nothing much. 2 3/4 stars
Corino vs. Elgin: Michael Elgin is a future star. Great match and the segment involving Steen was awesome. 4 stars
Daniels vs. Generico: Great match and a great finish. 3 3/4 stars
4 Way: Amazing. Tag team wrestling is alive. went about nearly 45 minutes: 4 1/2 stars
Davey vs. Eddie: 5 STAR MATCH. You need to see this match.

ROH Best In The World 2011
Singles Action: Colt Cabana vs. Tommaso Ciampa with The Embassy I’m so sick of Cabana, the right guy won. Decent match at best.
Special Challenge Match #2: “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett vs. Jay Lethal Good match, it seemed more like a good WWE tV match or PPV, nothing wrong, just nothing greart either. Also unless Lethal is staying I think the wrong guy won.
No Holds Barred Street Fight: Homicide vs. Rhino with The Embassy Fun match and the best Homicide has looks from what I’ve seen of his return. Also Rhino looked real good and it looks like he is staying in ROH, which is cool.
Special Challenge Match #1: Steve Corino with Jimmy Jacobs vs. Michael Elgin with Truth Martini
Before the match Corino cut a really good promo, Steen came out of the crowd and the pop was HUGE!. However he wasn’t allowed near the ring and was sent packing
Now for the match I really liked it as Corino looked good, but more so because Elgin is a f***ing beast. I rave about him every iPPV and will continue too and ss stated before by me he’s a future World Champ .
After the match H.O.T attasck Corino, Jacobs tried to help, but was beatdown aswell….. then Steen ran through the crowd and made the save and Corino begged Cornette to let Steen speak, so he did. Steen cut a short promo and then said I’m Kevin Steen and f*** RING OF HONOR! Hit Jacobs and hoit the Package Piledriver on Corino and was draged out by ROH Officials. This was a great segment.
ROH World TV Title Match: Christopher Daniels(c) with Truth Martini vs. El Generico Really good match and Generico winning is the right call. He is going to be huge for ROH in the kid department ala Rey Mysterio.
ROH World Tag Team Title Four Way Elimination Match: Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)(c) vs. The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe[
Very good match, slow in spots and sloppy, but it went 40 minutes and had a lot going on so I understand and still a very good match.
ROH World Title Match: Eddie Edwards(c) vs. Davey Richards Two Words: WATCH IT!
Overall: Just buy the damn thing!

Davey as champ makes me happy. Hopefully the " Davey is so bland " crowd will at least let us Davey marks bask in the glory a bit.

You know, it's too bad ROH won't let this happen, but I'd kill to see a title vs. title match at PWG Eight next month, with whoever wins getting both titles. (In case you didn't know, it's Davey vs. Claudio for the PWG title)

Stream wasn't working all that great for me at the beginning of the show so I watched the first 3 matches in a very chopped up fashion...so I'll have to rewatch those.
Thankfully though the stream started working with the Corino match.
KEVIN STEEN!!!! That whole segment was amazing!
2nd half of the show was great also. Daniels/Generico was entertaining, a bit slow though at the beginning. The Tag Match was also very good, but it did drag on for a little bit of time also.
Richards/Edwards - MOTY. Period. Those two guys beat the living daylights out of each other for around 40 minutes or so. No dull moments in this one. My buddy even turned to me at one point and said "wow, they're getting closer and closer to 60" and it felt like the match just started to me. Loved every second.

Yeah those 35 minutes passed by quickly, the signs of a great match.

I loathe myself right now for not going to this. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I'm in the same boat. I've missed two title changes in a row now. Stupid weekend work!

Sounds like an absolutely phenomenal show. f*** it, this sounds like the best show of the year!
I'm so glad neither Richards, nor Edwards turned heel. I haven't had enough of the Wolves yet.

I've never seen a ROH match in my life. But now I'm considering picking this up on DVD just based on the rave reviews.
Are they region-free?

The only disappointment of the show for me was kind of on a mark level, as I really wanted the underdog team of the ANX to win. The beauty of ROH for me is that I have so much more trust in them than I do WWE or TNA, and that I can turn off my critical brain, or at least turn it down and trust that they'll deliver a worthwhile PPV product. I don't get so caught up in whether the right guy wins or loses because I have faith that win or lose both/all competitors involved will be protected regardless. It's a credit to their good booking that I can watch a match between Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards, and actually root for Eddie Edwards even though I actually prefer the latter. Singles Action: Colt Cabana vs. Tommaso Ciampa with The EmbassySolid opener, I see a few people being hard on it(not slamming anyone but the idea of someone being sick of Colt Cabana is hard for me to fathom, I love him to death). Watching Colt Cabana's a real treat to me, the counters he comes up with are really great and no one does it like him. He deserves a title run one day. This was my first ROH PPV so I'm not too familiar with Ciampa, but I thought he did alright. The ending was on the sloppy side but the move itself was still pretty cool. Special Challenge Match #2: “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett vs. Jay LethalReally enjoyed this match. Mike Bennett seems like a character that can go far in ROH and be a big time heel in the main event/upper mid card. Seems like a no brainer for ROH to have that "sports entertainer" gimmick on someone to rile up the fans and accentuate how much more ROH are than that. I hope Lethal is sticking around because he rules. Great match. No Holds Barred Street Fight: Homicide vs. Rhino with The EmbassyI was hoping to see RD Evans eat a gore in this one, but I guess they had to just wrap up this angle because Homicide's on his way out. This was a great match and I'm not always the biggest fan of Homicide. Rhino's a great fit in ROH, especially as the Embassy's body guard and I hope they're keeping him around in that role. Special Challenge Match #1: Steve Corino with Jimmy Jacobs vs. Michael Elgin with Truth MartiniGreat, great match. Match of the night when put next to the matches before it. Steve Corino's one of my favorite guys going right now. He's like the Mick Foley of ROH in that he's always wrapped up in a really interesting storyline that adds a depth to everyone involved. I still get goosebumps thinking of Steen's betrayal of Corino, and just thinking about how this is only the beginning of something huge. All the ways this could go: Steen vs. Jimmy Jacobs, Steen vs. Corino, I wouldn't be upset if Generico played a minor role every now and again. This is the kind of feud that TNA/WWE just can't match on their best day right now. ROH World TV Title Match: Christopher Daniels(c) with Truth Martini vs. El GenericoSlow start but once this match got going it really was special. Christopher Daniels had such a swagger to him it was great to watch. It's gonna suck if Daniels' contract doesn't allow him on ROH TV. ROH World Tag Team Title Four Way Elimination Match: Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)(c) vs. The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) vs. Jay & Mark BriscoePossible match of the night contender. I really REALLY loved the psychology at play throughout this match, the feeling out process at the top, everyone trying to conserve their energy knowing that it's going to be a war, until the Briscoes get tagged in and all bets are off. Briscoes getting pinned first was a genuine shock, but then again all these teams are such prime contenders, the first elimination was gonna be a bit of a shock regardless. The ending was anti climactic but I love WGTT, and I can't argue with the logic, you're fighting for 45 minutes, so it gets to a point where anything could put a guy out. ROH World Title Match: Eddie Edwards(c) vs. Davey RichardsAmazing. The last three matches on the card is what makes ROH so great. When someone says anyone could be a pro wrestler, these are the kinds of matches you show them because the moves these guys are doing look BRUTAL and require a talent far beyond my understanding. These guys went above and beyond any expectations I had for this match. I'm pretty sure the cameras missed a potential "I'm sorry, I love you" moment where Davey said something like "you've always been like a brother to me" before giving Eddie that final kick. There was a thread earlier talking about how Davey winning the title is the best option for ROH going into the TV show and I argued that Eddie would look like a flash in the pan to lose the title so soon, but I'm gonna have to eat crow on that because I think this match is gonna put Eddie on the map more than winning the title did. Davey's celebration at the end was as genuine as it gets. Just a great show, very well laid out, great variety, big moments, everything a wrestling pay per view should be and I haven't been this excited about wrestling in so long. I hope they can keep the energy high with over three months left before they're on the tube. I'm so excited for this company.

i am honestly loving the positive feedback this show is getting. i've mentioned it a few times how the popularity in ROH around here has gone down (going from each show getting their own thread, to 2 months of ROH shows being contained in one thread), but after tonight, i hope the popularity picks back up

I can't wait til watch this.
I am going to wait for the dvd like I have done with all the IPPVs. I don't know why but I just can't watch wrestling on a computer screen.
I wish GFL would over streaming over game systems.

Ok, awesome, Steen is back, now we have a legit heel contender with some personality to him. Please get the belt off of Chris Benoit circa 1994 as soon as possible.

I backed out of ordering the iPPV at the last minute, but in light of all the positive reviews, I'll definitely be picking this one up on DVD. Here's to the future of ROH....
