Neither would I, but I really don't see it happening. I was worried about it as well, as I stated in the thread before, but not any longer. The more I think about it, the more sense it makes that this film will serve more as the end of Batman's early days, and cement his status. On top of that, The Dark Knight was a really somber movie, the "Empire Strikes Back" of the Batman franchise. Hopefully the final film is more uplifting. It would follow the typical 3-act format, where the first act introduces the hero and has him look cool (in this instance, by beating Ra's and putting "hope back out on the streets"), the second act casts doubt on the hero (as he didn't save Dent, and now he's on the run), and the third act he overcomes the adversity and ultimately triumphs. The titles pretty much reflect this format.

Now, I'm not so familliar with comics, but Bane is Hispanic, right? He is, yes. Wouldn't be the first time a character got whitewashed, though. I looked him up and Bane is the son of King Snake, a Brit. His mother is a native of the Caribbean I suspect. King Snake is a Robin villain introduced two years before Bane.

Aside from it featuring another stupid looking Bane, that was brilliant

Any theories on the chanting at the end of the trailer? I've read that theories that it could be escaped Arkham inmates. Could be. That could also explain the last shot of Batman being surrounded by the inmates. They tire him out, Bane comes in and breaks his back. While Batman is recovering, Gotham is being turned to s*** by Bane, thugs, and possibly even Ra's. Selina tries to fill in for Batman as Catwoman, but to no success. Even Gordon tries to get his hands dirty, but he gets his ass kicked (which explains why he's lying on the hospital bed). Once Bruce finally recovers and sees what Gotham has turned into, he questions whether he could continue as Batman. He visits Gordon at the hospital, Gordon gives him a pep talk, Bruce is convinced and "rises" as Batman once again to take down Bane and co. How the movie ends, I don't know, but that's how I see the majority of the movie going down. I would have to agree, I think the interesting thing will be the portayal of Bane. If they had cast a musclehead then I would fear that they would use him in an enforcer type role, but the casting of Hardy intimates that it will be a far more intellectual part, and there won't be anything lost on the physical front because Hardy has jacked up for roles in the past. I would like to think Gotham slips into decay during a year long reign of terror by Bane, only for Batman to come back and stop him publically, thus vindicating him in the eyes of the city as a protector, not a criminal. Plus, I can't think Nolan will be allowed to kill off Batman - simply because the studio wouldn't allow it if they plan to reboot the series. The casual audience will just remember "Batman died", and not differentiate between versions of the character (a girl where I work thought Batman Begins was a prequel to Burton's 89 film), which will make a reboot harder to get off the ground. I also think there will be a point where Batman attempts to confess to Gordon his true identity, but Gordon refuses to hear it, because he doesn't want to know the man behind the mask. I also think it will end in much the same vein as the first movie, with Wayne not being able to give up, because with Rachel gone and Catwoman being part of the darker side of his ego, he'll realise there'll never be a point where Batman isn't needed anymore, and the war will be inferred to carry on.

I would guess either Jim Gordon, or if it follows the Knightfall storyline, it might be Alfred.
I hope that's the answer the guy is looking for...

I'd laugh if it was just a camera guy, and Nolan left him in the teaser just to f*** with us.

That's a pretty nice coat Bane has there. Betcha Marv from SIN CITY would fight him for it.
Who ya got? ;D
