I think they should've gotten someone hotter than Anne Hathaway to play Catwoman. Catwoman should be more of the extremely hot "bombshell" type. Hathaway's just the girl next door. You must have some extremely sexy girl's next door to you. Actually my ex-girlfriend looks almost exactly like Anne Hathaway. Which is one reason I'm bummed they cast her.

I like this news. Time to change the thread title though I don't understand why this old ass thread got bumped anyway. Should have just started a new one.

Here is a fact:
Christopher Nolan will be only the second director to direct an entire trilogy of superhero movies. The first was Sam Raimi. And with Jon Favreau not doing Iron Man 3 it's going to be a while before we see a third.
Other facts:
Nolan will be the first director to direct 3 live action Batman films.
Christian Bale will be first actor to play Batman in more then two live action films. Kevin Conroy voiced Batman in what 5 or 6 animated movies.

Anne Hathaway is gorgeous! If I lived next door to her, I'd probably never leave my house or wear pants. I'd also probably have binoculars or something permanently attached to me.
Though, I actually think she looks more like Poison Ivy than Selina. *shrug*

I like this news. Time to change the thread title though I don't understand why this old ass thread got bumped anyway. Should have just started a new one. There was one but that got deleted for this. I said in that thread I like Tom Hardy and I like this so I guess I'll say it again. Tomorrow.

YES! I haven't seen Bronson or really any other Tom Hardy performances minus Inception but Bane is one of my favorite Batman villains ever! A thousand times yes!

I actually originally clicked on the thread to say that they should perhaps do a movie adaption of Knightfall. Except without Azrael

I haven't seen anything with Tom Hardy or Anne Hathaway, but this does have me interested. Was hoping after Dark Knight the sequel would have Bane and Catwoman.
I do wish Black Mask was worked in there somehow, though.

I hope Nolan presents Bane as an intelligent lethal genius who puts Batman out of commission for a while, proceeds to become the new King of Gotham and bringing about chaos, and that's when The Dark Knight rises.
But they have to do this right and make it work. Very glad that Bane is receiving redemption. ;D

Is it wrong of me to think Summer Glau would be an interesting Catwoman?

I was thinking this as well. I've seen a lot of speculation that the movie will end on a downer, with Batman being broken. I just can't see it going that way. The last movie was the "Empire Strikes Back" of sorts for this Batman trilogy, so I think we see a positive ending in the final chapter. I think that we may see Bane injure or put Batman out of commission early in the film, and then we'll follow Bruce on his road to recovery and re-building his self-confidence. I think this is the best way to go, and I know it'd be a huge mark-out moment for everyone in the theater when Batman makes his return to defeat Bane. Could be incredibly epic.

If they're doing the Knightfall storyline I think it would be good to do the movie in two parts. Have Bats beaten-down at the end of the first and return in the second.

Any word if filming will return to Chicago again? yeah like it would be Batman vs Captain Jack ...Which is just as bad, since Johnny Depp only has "wacky" mode. Except for Sweeney Todd, where he didn't act so much as "sit, scowl, stare, repeat". Surprisingly good singer, though. Check out Secret Window. Has Hugo Strange been confirmed for the film? A bit off-topic, but I'm holding out some hope that Nolan and Bale decide not to end the series after this coming movie. Even more off topic, but the recent casting news has me thinking a lot about Nolan's upcoming Superman reboot. It's more his brother's project, but he's attached, as well. I know there is zero chance of this happening, but I'd love to see a Bale cameo in the film, or even a small reference to either Metropolis or the Daily Planet in Batman 3. I was wondering if there is any possible way that the series continues after the third one. I'll just hold onto a little hope. Is it wrong of me to think Summer Glau would be an interesting Catwoman? It's never wrong to think about Summer Glau. She should be in EVERY movie ever made, regardless of topic from here on out. Love me some Summer

Especially since I don't honestly see WB wanting to leave this on a cliff hanger, which is what you'd have to do if you're having Bane "break the Bat" at the end. Add to that you'd have a cliffhanger series with no scheduled sequel, no attached stars or directors, and only a tentative idea of where to go next and how to do it. I don't think WB would go for that option.

I'm getting slightly more pumped about the idea of Bane being in this movie, but I just REALLY, REALLY hope that Bane being in the third Nolan Batman movie doesn't cause him to get "promoted" out of the the Secret Six title, because the character's been gold there.

I wonder what storylines would Nolan more likely adopt, or at least, use its elements. I'm prolly guessing: - Prey
- Venom
- Vengeance of Bane
- Engelhart-Rogers's run on Detective Comics (before "The Laughing Fish")
- Knightfall
